The thing that I noticed right away upon rereading this is the difference between expectation and reality of adventures. The idea of real (meaty) Dragon's Tail vs. (sweet) Mock Dragon's Tail - which one do they actually want?! And the knights being expected to do something - but their knowledge is 'inofficial' and their convenience is 'not early at all'. Besides, real fighting would interfere with the planned tournament! Shades of the Hobbit again - "...adventures. Nasty disturbing uncomfortable things! Make you late for dinner!" __________________ 'Mercy!' cried Gandalf.
