I understand your point, but I took the liberty of comparing the movie, soundtrack, and sheet music versions and found them to be all in the same key signature. There aren't multiple editions considering the easy key signature the movie version is in. I'm not trying to trick anyone here ...but seeing how no one seems to be getting this, I'll give the answer. The key has one sharp, indicating G major, but it begins and ends on a minor triad, which tells us that it has to be in a minor key, so it is in the key of E MINOR! (c'mon guys, relative minor, three half-steps down...)

Oh yeah, new question. What singer is featured in the song "Breath of Life"?

Meep!!!
OK, OK, that was a justified poke. The Killer Rabbit will remain in his cage.
Lesse... when Gandalf's wagon was traveling over the bridge in Hobbiton, what instrument was used in that part of the score but later removed? |

(This'll test you.)
What NZ war chant did the Uruk-Hai stuntees do between takes of Helm's Deep? (Hint: It's on the Special Extended 2 Towers. "Warriors of the 3rd Age" or something like that.)

Nope. It's a title.
But I'm gonna change the question because it doesn't have that much to do with the music. Should I just do that?

What is the first instrument heard on "The King of the Golden Hall" and "Evenstar"? (It's not the same one.) Second part is a trick question!

Sorry, This is not a quiz question...=) I'm looking for a hardanger Fiddle. Does anybody know where I can get a Hardanger Fiddle, or a better place to look for one?
Thanks!

Welcome to the Downs, the half-elven.
Since this forum is for Quiz Games, we tend to avoid general discussion here. You'd probably be better off raising your question on one of the threads dealing with the film scores in the Movies forum. Why not try this one: Lord of the Rings Soundtracks: Discuss Now, back to the game ...

I'm not sure if it's a French horn. "Horn" and "voice" was what I was looking for. Take the thread, and welcome to the Downs!

It was a lucky guess, really
I'm going to give the thread to Lindir. I just piggypacked off of his (correct) answer, and I feel guilty about that. Lindir, the thread is yours!!

OK: What instrument did was used for one of Gollum's themes, and was also used in The Shire?
