FOTR DVD extended edition
I'm REALLY sorry if this has been discussed already, I haven't been in this forum for a year! I've only just found about the hidden scenes in the FOTR DVD EE. I've accessed TTT preview that pops up after scene 48. But I can't seem to get at the MTV spoof of Elrond's Council. I watch DVDs on my PC, so obviously I'm using a mouse, not a remote control. Apparently a gold ring should appear? Does anyone know how I make this happen?

Doing this from memory. I hope it's right.
Go to the select scene menu and highligh the Council of Elrond (last scene on the disk). Do not play it but, with it highlighted, press down. You should see a ring. Press enter.
H.C.

It doesn't work for me. By pressing down, do you mean using the cursor arrow things? Cos that takes you back to scene 1.

I just checked on my own disk and it worked. Yes, I do mean the cursor down. Don't press it twice or else you do go back to scene one, but if you press it once you should see a ring right beside where it says new scene. When you see the ring press enter.
H.C.

Wow I didn't know that MTV thing was on here. Cool. I'm having trouble finding TTT scene though. My DVD just ends after scene 48. Any thoughts?

Have you pressed the down cursor? The tower symbol should appear in the bottom right corner.

Well, I seem to have done several people a favour! And I thought I was the last person to hear about the hidden scenes! Unfortunately, HC's instructions are not working for me. If I highlight the Council of Elrond scene and press the down arrow on the keyboard, nothing happens. I really want to watch this spoof, because the MTV awards are not shown on terrestrial TV in England, so I assumed I would never see it! Any more ideas from HC or anyone else who watches DVDs on a computer?

There is no MTV spoof on the british version of the DVD. Apparrently they had to take it off because otherwise the rating would have had to be moved up from PG.
So sorry guys, I'm british and it dissapointed me when I found it out.
Hope I've cleared it up.
