Get Fuzzy! (and FoxTrot)
I am so psyched right now! My all time favorite comic stripe is featuring LotR! Here are the days so far:
I'll keep posting as long as it keeps on this theme! [ December 29, 2002: Message edited by: Diamond18 ]

Hehe.
Too bad my newspaper doesn't print that comic strip. Other comic strips I've seen have a LOTR theme are Foxtrot, Mother Goose and Grimm, and Bound and Gagged, but those were all from last year. Now that TTT is coming out, hopefully we will see more LOTR related comic strips appearing in the next few weeks.

I remember the Foxtrot strips, though our paper doesn't carry them. There were also some Frank and Earnest strips that were really funny.
Keep posting, Diamond--those are hilarious!! I like Frodo Cattins...lol..."I see the tales were not exaggerated." ~*~Orual~*~

Hmm.. I think if my cat was a LOTR character, she'd be Shadowfax. Seriously, when she's at top speed, she's a white streak!

If you read Get Fuzzy regularly you know that Bucky really loves his toy bear that he got from a kid's meal at a fast food restaurant. It's named "Smacky". I thought the non-regular readers might appreciate that info.

Well, you'll have to write to Darby Conely for that, 'cause he's on to different stuff not LotR related right now. Same for FoxTrot. Glad you liked them .

I'm still confused if it's supposed to be Merry and Pip on Treebeard or just 'cause they're stupid...after all, the comic was written before the release of TTT....

Well, they do ride around on Treebeard in the book. And I know Bill Amend has read the book: he was doing LotR strips before FotR even came out and all that.

There also was a series of "Heart of the City" Lord of the Rings comics. About 6 pages when I put them all on one file. Maybe I'll post 'em later, but you can go to ucomics.com under Heart of the City.

Well, it's later, but I cannot find those comics.
To sum it up, Dean, one of the main characters, gets a gold ring for Valentine's day. He hears weird noises and suddenly Gandalf appears and thinking Dean is Frodo, tells him that the ring must be destroyed and so on. Dean gathers some of his friends to go on the quest with him. It ends in Mount Doom where Dean and his friend, Heart, push the frog-boy (Gollum)into the volcanoe. Dean gets all excited, "you did it! You destroyed the ring of the dark lord Sauron!" But Heart replies, "Get real goofus! I kept the ring for ME!! The days of MEN are at an END... Witness as I herald the NEW AGE OF WOMEN! GIRL POWER!!HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!" Then in the next frame: Poof! and Dean is sitting up in bed with a copy of LotR on his lap and says, "truth is stranger than fiction" Okay, so it was a long summary.

I'm so sorry to anyone reading this thread for the first time. All the comics posted previously have turned into little red X's of doom. I know that the website I got Get Fuzzy from only archives comics for a month, but I didn't think of that when I posted them last month. Ah well, if you are able to enjoy things vicariously, you can just read all the reactions. Sorry.

Look at what it says on Rob's shirt. This is definitely what I think it is, because the logo is the same (hurry, hurry! You have a month to view it!):
