A Bit of Fun Comparison
I was reading the newspaper this morning and decided perhaps it was time for a comparison thread in the "Middle-earth Mirth" forum. Here's what I've got so far, just a bit of politically liberal fun.
These are just a few short ones I've strung together. Feel free to add your own, as long as they are intelligent (preferably humorous, if you can succeed where I have failed) comparisons between Lord of the Rings characters and key players in Decision 2004 and in American politics in general. [EDIT]: Feel free to add to any of the comparisons listed above, as well. Cheers, Angmar <font size=1 color=339966>[ 1:38 PM December 13, 2003: Message edited by: Lord of Angmar ]

Allegory? Perish the thought! Applicable yes, but allegorical? I think not. Just ask any die-hard conservative Tolkienite!

Al Sharpton=Gimli (movie version)
Both are more or less a light-hearted diversion from serious situations, and no one really takes them seriously.
