After looking at the last two Star Wars prequels, I'd have to say I would've hated LotR if Lucas had directed it.

Tolkien

Instead of coming back as Gandalf the white he comes back as a jedi. uh oh.

Pippin talks like Jar Jar.

Merry is Leonardo de Caprio.

Sam is as skinny as a twig.

Frodo has a super deep voice like Arnold S.

Legolas is the most famous movie star that cant act.

Gimli is a Jawa.

Boromir holds his sword up and lets the orcs hack him to bits (trying to do what Obi-wan did)

Galadriel Rules in a crountry called Lothboo a cross between Lothlorien and Naboo.

Aragorn and Arwen greatly exagerate how much their love is "suffering".

Rivendell is a high tech elf center.

Moria has starship shaped Pillars.

Sauron sets up a senate.

Faramir creates a light saber.

Eowyn is Frodo's sister.

Actually as long as he doesn't get into a buddist suffering fit like in Episode II Goerge is and ok director .

1420!

Rather than Gandalf falling in Moria with the Balrog, he would have been captured and encased in carbonite. Then fellowship would then have to detour to Mordor to sneak in and rescue him(it's at this point that we would get to see Frodo and Sam dressed as orcs).

Sauron: I suppose Gandalf never cared enough to tell you about your father.
Aragorn: He told me enough, he told me that you killed him!
Sauron: Aragorn, I am your father!
Aragorn: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

Nicely done! Also, instead of Frodo getting stabbed in the chest by the Nazgul, he would have his hand cut off.

Question

Why does George Lucas enjoy cutting people's hands off so much? It seems unnatural... IT'S AN OBSESSION, I TELL YOU, AN OBSESSION!!!!

Uhhh.... You guys wouldn't get that, it's an inside joke.

As for the whole 'I am your father' thing, I love the expression on that guy's face as he says, 'NOOOOOOOOO!!!!! That's impossible!!!! NO! NO! NO! NOOOOOO!!' It's hilarious!!!

I love the ORIGINAL three Star Wars movies but the thought of George Lucas directing LOTR makes me shudder!

I mean as it, for what he did on Episodes I & II I want to buy a copy of FOTR, leave it unopened, and snail mail it to him making sure that has a note attached on it that says:

"Watch this and TAKE notes!"

Oh yeah me thinks PJ could teach him how to make an epic movie the CORRECT way!

If George Lucas directed LotR everyone would end up being related to eachother, at least 3 characters would loose their right hand, the battles would be reduced to one-on-one jedi fights and George would relese Return of the King, then go back to do Fellowship and The Two Towers. One thing would remain the same.

Saruman!

AAH! George Lucas...LOTR? *shudder*

And at the end, there'd be the ghosts of Gollum, Boromir and Denethor II instead of Anakin, Yoda and Obi. Scary. And instead of Chewy it'd be....oh gawd I don't know. Brego.

If Eowyn turned out to be Frodo's sister, I would only wonder what weird creature could have two babies each of a different species. B.T.W. Who would Legolas be in the George Lucas version of LOTR? P.J. all the way.

CGI. 75% of the actors? Not real people; CGI. That blade of grass? CGI. Who needs New Zealand to portray Middle Earth when we got CGI.

I think poor Frodo would finish the quest with NO hands...
George: hey, let's make the Witch-king cut off Frodo's hand at Weathertop!
Later... *spoiler*
George: Hey, let's make Gollum rip off Frodo's hand at Mt. Doom instead of just his finger!
Frodo: Haven't I suffered enough already?

And Saruman would have a sword with a bent hilt and would be nicknamed "Count Sharky."

Yeah, and when Gandalf goes to Hobbiton, instead of Hobbits, there would be a bunch of Ewoks. And in the Hobbit movie directed by George Lucas, when Bilbo goes into Gollum's cave, it's Yoda, and he would be all crazy and such!

Yoda:"My precioussss it issss, hmmmmm?!"
Or:"Pocketses in it's what have does it?"
