Your favorite forum
I've decided to open up a thread focusing on all your favorite forums. Well, I like all of them but my favorite has to be The Books forum, becuase it focuses on Tolkien so intensely and, on the fun side, I'd say the Barrowdowns forum, becuase everyone has a change to ask questions and express feelings.

I don't mind if my threads get closed. After all, the admins always have a reason! Oh, and thanks for throwing in a few cents, Beren!

Actually, come to think of it, I spend quite a lot of time in Translations from the Elvish, though I don't participate that often. I just more or less read every post.

I like the Movies, quizzes, and quotes, but then again the Barrow-Downs. Actually, I like them all, but my favorite would probably be the Barrow-Downs.

I like the books, but I never post there because I never have anything to add. I like Nov& New and the Movies because I can occasionally find something that I can add to. I used to hang out in the quiz room, but I feel bad when I post and then don't check again for a while, so I kinda stopped. The barrow downs is often fun, but there usually arn't a whole lot of people posting so discussion can be kinda slow. Middle earth Mayhem is good when I need a good laugh.

hm... of late I practically live in the quiz room, but my first Barrow-downs forum love was the Translations from the Elvish. I've been reading in there for almost a year now (my deathday's Thursday! ), someday soon I'll be qualified to post in there... *gulps* I hope! And I'm very fond of the RPGs.

I love Movies, Novice and Newcomers, Quotable Quotes and Quiz Room. Oh and I like The Shire. I've never been on the Translations from Elvish, guess I'll have to check it out

Hmm... I think I like Middle Earth Mayhem and the Shire most of all. The Shire because I get to be in the funnest RPGs, and Middle Earth Mayhem because they have the funniest Middle Earth stuff in there. I especially like the Make Your Own Crazy Scene With Pics thread.

The RPG forums, but this and the quiz room come a close second. I notice noone has said this forum, I like it because it's a better place to get to know people as people!

These days I spend much of my time in the RPG forum, and truly do enjoy being there most. Without the RPG section, I would never get a chance to do creative writing, which is what I love to write most.
My second favorite forum is definitely this one. I don't know why, but I always feel so much more relaxed when I'm in this forum.

"Books" is my favorite forum, but I realized how much I enjoy looking into this, the Barrow-Downs forum, when it was inaccessible for almost two days! I really missed it; I do enjoy the personal communication here.

The RPG rooms easily win this round, but the Barrowdowns section is keeping up.+

The RPG room> Other forums.
It ownz the entire Forum and it Ownz big time. I firsth discovered it when being tolled about it by Maikadilwen. (thank god and her for that) and I never left ever since. I always have been writing. I really like writing. You should try it some times. It gives much more respect for Tolkien. ________ Vapor Genie Last edited by Helkahothion; 03-07-2011 at 02:15 AM. |

I have to say that I like the Barrow-Downs the most because this is usually the first one I go to and I like all the people who come down here
And then my other favorite has to be the Movies, because I tend to feel more confident in my knowledge of the films than in the books in some ways. The Books is one that I rarely go on, but all the people who post there are amazing. There knowledge of Tolkien and all his stories is unparallel... I bow down to all of you

*bows* I bow to you too. I know a bit about LoTR, but all of you very intelligent ones who live in the Books forum make me feel so inferior.

I agree with you, Eressië! All those smart people like Lindil and Squatter make me feel stupid! In the quiz forum too! Oh well. Maybe I am!
Well, my favorite is probably the Shire. I love roleplaying, but I like to take it easy, so I stick with the simple old Shire! And the mods are kind and understanding! |

I love almost all the forums in the Barrow-Downs. It's so nice to see lots of people enjoying the same thing. But I quite enjoy reading the posts in the books because it gives me ideas to think about and often I have to scurry to find my books to see what the heck they're talking about sometimes. The Movies forum, Novice and Newcomers, and the Barrow-downs are some of the only places I post because I feel more comfortable. As some mentioned earlier, the feeling of inferiority is mutal. Depending on my mood the Books, the Movies and the Quiz Room. But always the Barrow-Downs, because it's an opportunity to get to know people better and it's often fun too.
Unfortunately, I have far too much need for sleep and to work to earn a living to start posting in the RPG forum. [ April 23, 2003: Message edited by: The Saucepan Man ]

Is it just me, or has the Barrow-Downs forum recently turned into a chat-room?
