Fac Chapters - The Barrow-Downs Discussion Forum

I just thought i'd be cool to start a thread to see if certain parts of the books affected me the way they did yall.So what would be the favorite chapters among us die hard Tolkein fans? Mine would have to be the following:

The Hobbit(and overall)-Riddles In the Dark

The Fellowship- The Bridge of Khazad-Dum

Two Towers-The White Rider

Return of the king-The Grey Havens

The Silmarillion-The Fall of Fingolfin

The Hobbit: Riddles in the Dark (also Flies and Spiders)

The Fellowship of the Ring: The Bridge of Khazad-dum (also The Breaking of the Fellowship)

The Two Towers: Treebeard (also Shelob's Lair, and The Choices of Master Samwise)

The Return of the King: The Battle of the Pelennor Fields (also Mount Doom, and The Scouring of the Shire)

The Hobbit: Ah, too long since I last read it.
The Fellowship: The Bridge of Khazad-Dûm
The Two Towers: Don't know...
The Return of the King: The Battle of the Pellenor Fields
The Silmarillion: Of the Fifth Battle

The Hobbit- Riddles in the dark. I memorised the riddles at six and went round confusing the heck out of people!

Fellowship- a Knife in the dark and Flight to the ford. I loved the weathertop scene and Glorfindel was one of my favourite characters. Which is part of the reason i hate arwen so much.

Two towers- Battle of Helms Deep and The choices of Master Samwise. I really hpe that they dont mess that up in ROTK.

Return of the King- The Scouring of the Shire. Yeah, hobbits kick butt!

Never read the Silmarillion

4. At the Sign of the Prancing Pony*
5. A Shortcut to Mushrooms
6. Strider

Two Towers:
1. The Stairs of Cirith Ungol*
2. The Uruk-Hai
3. Treebeard
4. Helm's Deep
5. Of Herbs and Stewed Rabbit

Return of the King:
1. The Battle of the Pelennor Fields
2. The Siege of Gondor
3. The Black Gate Opens*
4. The Scouring of the Shire

Hobbit:
1. Flies and Spiders
2. Barrels out of Bond
3. The Clouds Burst

Kind of a lot, but the ones with a * after them, are more important to me.
