Question request

I'm french and I write here because I know that someone will have read After the King-Stories in honor of J.R.R Tolkien and I've a little question.
In the short story entitled Down the River Down by Gregory Benford, there is a character called "le ressusciteur" in french. he brings the Mênes to life again and I'd like to have the translation of this word. it's very important for me and my studies. and unfortunately, the english edition is unobtainable in our bookshops in France
Thanks for your answer!
