How bout a man that has Transcended all previous standards of a creative mind, and a true master of human emotion.
---Cries with a smile on his face while a tingling sensation rushes down his spine--- It would take more words in all his books to describe the inspiration and emotion he has planted in my heart.

Writer of books that are sweeter than words could possibly describe.
Wise, benevolent, intelligent, novelist of breath-taking talent, awe-inspiring, and other synonyms for good.

I can give some info. thouhg I agree with all of you for description and I believe too much description won't provide much because those were more like comment from fasns...but from another's view it may be different. I DO know that Tolkien re-discovered the elves and goblins etc. From the Celtic legends and lots of it form Beowulf (he was one of the greatest studiers of it) and elvish origionated from a small fishing town in Finland.

actually, he described himself as that once, because he smoked a pipe and wore silk waistcoats. Imaginative. well duh. a genius only a genius could live in two worlds at once.

Errrr.. Tolkien was a writer of books so amazing and beautiful that you wished the world he wrote about was true, so that you could walk through Lothlorien, listen to the elves singing or just live peacefully in a place like The Shire.
He was.. uhmm.. unique! Just like his writings.
