Palantir
(Sorry if there's already a topic like this. I couldn't find one) Where are the palantirs in the third age. I know where 4 of them are. Saruman and Sauron each have 1, Denethor has 1, and I just read in the ROTK appendices that Cirdan had 1. Where are the other 3.

There were seven palantiri: one each at Minas Anor, Minas Ithil, Orthanc, Osgiliath, Annuminas, Amon Sul, and Elostirion, the tallest of the White Towers.
Anor - used by Denethor, afterwards property of Aragorn, remained at Minas Anor/Tirith all along Ithil - taken in the tower's sack when the Nazgul took it over as Minas Morgul, Sauron held it in his tower, destroyed in the Fall of Barad-dur Orthanc - used by Saruman, Gandalf took it to Minas Tirith, then property of Aragorn Osgiliath - lost down the Anduin in an assault on Osgiliath long before the War of the Ring Annuminas - lost at sea by King Arvedui, the last king until Aragorn Amon Sul - moved to Annuminas with the other stone when the Witch-king's army from Angmar destroyed the fortress at Weathertop Elostirion - used there by Elendil to look West across the sea towards the master stone that stayed with the elves, it was guarded by Cirdan and the Elves of Lindon until Cirdan took it across the sea with him on the last ship <font size=1 color=339966>[ 11:22 AM January 24, 2004: Message edited by: Legolas ]
