Aragorn and Eru
Did the Numenoreans know about Eru? If so, would Aragorn have known about Him? Or, better yet: could Aragorn have known about Eru from the Elves? I haven't read the Sil yet, but in LOTR there is no mention of any deities -- only a brief allusion to religion when Faramir and his men pause briefly as a custom before meals. So I'm wondering what the knowledge would have been, both in general, and for a Man as educated as Aragorn.

The Numenoreans knew of and worshiped Eru, they had a sacred spot for worship to him on the summit of Meneltarma on the island of Numenor. Aragorn would have known of him, it just wasn't in the storyline.
