Hobbit Halloween - The Barrow-Downs Discussion Forum

Yes, it's a little early, but Halloween is coming up! I'd like to see what my fellow Downers are going as. With The Hobbit coming out soon, there's a lot of inspiration for those of you who make your own costumes, so we could be seeing Bilbo and Dwalin, Kili and Fili, Ori, Oin, Gloin, Thorin Oakenshield, and much more!

Me? I've already made mine. The Witch-King of Angmar upon Weathertop. So how about the rest of you?

Last year I wanted to go as a Nazgul, but I left it for the last minute and I couldn't find any fitting clothing, so I ended up doing a joke kind of thing. I dressed up as a homeless person and wrote a sign that said something like "Help the hungry Halloweeners! Donate! We accept cash, but candy is preferable." Unfortunately, people didn't get it, because apparently there's a real organization that collects real donations on Halloween. So I had to explain to them every time that I didn't know about such a thing and that it's a joke born of goofing up the costume...

This year I don't think I'll be going at all... It falls on too busy a day.

My friend Nikki has to work on Halloween... Poor her. Hopefully, her little brother C*** and sister A**** will share.
