If This is the Answer, What is the Question?
This game is quite simple to play, rather harder to explain. I had concidered doing this in the Quiz room, but I thought it would be much better and funnier if it were posted here.
Basically, it involves the posing of an answer to which a question must be found. Like Crazy Captions, one will be posted, preferably in bold and italics and underlined so it stands out, and then anyone can throw in suggestions for what the question could be. Make them Middle Earth related, amusing and most of all, fitting to the answer. Here are some examples... Some one poses the answer "45 Million" One suggests: "How many orcs would it take to actually kill one of the main characters?" Another says: "Exactly how many strands of hair did Galadriel give to Gimli when he next came to Lorien?" And so on until we exhaust the possibilities of that answer and then someone else can pose another one for us to have fun with. Make sense? Didn't think so. Here is the first answer... "Four hundred Horses." What is the question?

Sounds fun!
So: How many horses would it take to fill up the Dead Marshes so you could walk across it dryly? Sorry it's such a morbid question, but it's the first thing I thought of... Idea: After a few people give questions, the person who gives the answer tells which is right. Just an idea.

Another possible question:
What would it take to distract Théoden long enough for you to steal his beard? Maybe.

Perhaps it could be...
What are the contents of Eomer's wardrobe?

"What on earth could Gimli have eaten to pass that much wind?"
Or don't give the real answers, just go for surrealism, always good

No more offers?
Well, okay then, here is a new answer: About nine years. What is the question? I was thinking... How long would the hobbits like for breakfast? You can still offer for previous answers by quoting them, of course.

How long it takes an ent to tell you what he thinks your name should be. (I was going to say how long it takes him to tell you his name, but then I realized, it would probably be a bit longer.)

Ok I have an answer:
"6200" I was thinking: "The number of trees in fangorn" "The amount of beers a hobbit goes though per year" "The number of orcs Aragorn has killed" (Sorry, I just don't feel creative)

Is it...
"What was the weight, in tons, of Bombur when he died?" Or "How Many times did Gandalf Uncloak during his stay in Hobbiton?"

Maybe...
What counts as one of your five a day? What is the most nutritious nack in the world? What is a balrog's favourite meat? (maybe I will go with Lal's surrealism, for example, What are giraffes?)

What colour was Saruman before he decided 'many colours' would be better?
OR How did a stoned Gandalf reply when asked 'How many fingers am I holding up?'

What was the only thing that survived the sacking of Gondolin?
or What wasn't left after Merry and Pippin marauded Saruman's storehouse? or What would the dwarves have gone to laketown in if Bilbo had been in charge? or What did Gandalf keep under his cloak?
