Admin thread for WW XXIIX - Queer Lodgings
Hello again Werewolfers - I am looking for (at least) sixteen willing Downers to participate in yet another game of Werewolf on Monday, January 7th 2007.
This episode of the saga is entitled "Queer Lodgings", and will take place in the House of Beorn. For the purpose of narration, the characters are as follows - Beorn - Thinlomien Gandalf the Grey - Valier Bilbo Baggins - Meneltarmacil Thorin Oakenshield - Anguriel Balin - Kath Dwalin - dancing spawn of ungoliant Gloin - Kitanna Oin - Volo Dori - Boromir88 Nori - Rune son of Bjarne Ori - Durelin Fili - Naria Kili - Eomer of the Rohirrim Bifur - Nilpaurion Fegalund Bofur - Nogrod Bombur - Holbytlass Durin the Deathless - Farael First come, first choice. Roleplaying is not necessary, this is for narration purposes only. Three POSSESSED (wolves) One SKINCHANGER (hunter) One PROTECTOR (ranger) One SNEAK (seer) Two TWINS (lovers) Eight ORDOs (ordos) The Protector will be slightly different than the normal Ranger - he/she will choose someone to guard, and if that person is chosen by the wolves, that person would be saved but the Protector will die instead. What do you all think of the Protector being able to do this during the day too, if they choose so? 'Kay, has anything major changed/been decided since um...WW XII or so? I haven't been following very many games. What are your thoughts on double lynching? Twins communicating during the day? Anything else of concern? Known abscences:

I'm in Oddwen! Um, I guess I'll be Balin if that's what you meant?
Personally I dislike double lynches but if the village was pretty large then I could deal with it. Anything else is fine. Oh, and if you do change the start date it isn't going to affect me so feel free to make it earlier!

I would LOVE to play, if I can get permission to miss the ninth -that is, if I'm alive. If I can be Bilbo, wel'll just say I'm lost under the Misty Mountains...
EDIT or the 8th, depending on how the division of days/nights works out. |

Count me in!! Well I shall be the great Gandalf the Grey. I can't promise he won't decloak though I like double lynching, but no more than two people can die, not four...... Also what time of the day do you think you will have the deadline Oddwen? This I need to know, so I hopefully can be around near the end most days

Double lynchings aren't bad as long as the game has enough people to pull it off. IF you are doing double lynchings....then please, please no more than double ones. I think I might actually need therapy after that last quad

So, 10:30 AM EST and 3:30 PM GMT, then? In that case, I'll be missing day two (1/9).

I really don't want someone to be absent for more than one day. Otherwise, I'll kill you off. If more than sixteen people want to play, I'll make up more dwarves. Off to think up some death scenes...that probably won't get used...

On second thought, I'd better not sign up. It'll be nearly impossible for me to post on day one, and if I'm not participating much in the first 2 days, I ought to step aside and let someone who has more time play.

I'll be Bombur, please.
I prefer no double lynchings, no retractable votes, I don't see where the hunter protecting could be helpful during the day other than getting themselves lycnched. As always I'll go along with mod's laws and majority rule. I'm fine on any time/date

Just a warning, I won't be around most days towards the deadline seeing as it will be quite early in the morning for me (7:30 am or so) but I may be able to make it some days. And Ang.....If Gandalf bows down....His cloak might just slip off...

I'll join, if I may. I shall play Dori. I always liked him - he rescued Bilbo a couple times and seemed to be a nice chap.
Do we have to call eachother by our dwarven names? (Or, for the others, wizard, hobbit, and Beorn names?) -- Dori

My thoughts:
Protector: Not so good. Doesn't really benefit the village a whole lot, as somebody still dies. Twins: I don't have a whole lot of experience with the Lovers concept, so I can't really say much. Double lynchings: Don't really mind them, but if they're to be banned, I'd have the victim be chosen randomly between the top vote-getters. That should be fun.

Just a notice from Lommy. She will be playing too and would like to be Beorn.

What are the twins (lovers)? Are they both good or are they paired up with a baddie?
If one dies then the other dies automatically? If not, then I think there may be a slightly unfair advantage against the wolves since there are so many gifted roles. I say this because the wolves seem to be caught since most of us have been playing for so long, except with the help of the cobblers . I'd have to check Kuru's statistics to be sure... With the addition of Ballroom Blitz, the wolves have one by 1 (13-12).

I am inclined not to allow double lynchings, as there was a spot of trouble with that in my last game.

Hello all!
It has been too long since my last game.
I must say I will be enjoying playing the Hairy Host. And never mind my strange voting times and slight getting online -problems*: isn't Beorn the kind of guy to come and go in weird hours and weird ways? ---- * I don't have a net access home, but that hasn't prevented me from playing during the whole autumn...

Thanks, Oddwen, for the clarification. Ooh, Nilp and Anguriel are playing!! Also, just for the record, unbeknownst to Bilbo at the time of the adventure, Bombur is most definitly female.

Wheee!
Would you like the prime spot of Nori or Ori, Runi? That leaves one spot - however, I do have a couple of auxiliary ideas if more people would like to play.

Nori of course. . . Ori is just a lesser Nori, but I must admit that Runi The Red Dwarf has a sertain ring to it.

I really shouldn't be doing this, but I just can't help myself...
May I take the last spot as Nori? Modding made me really want to play. But if someone else would like to play, and the auxiliary plan is not preferred, I am quite fine with stepping out. (Oh, and for XXVII players who still care, I promise I'll finally have the final narrative up tonight. I'm so sorry it's taken so long. Really lost it's "magic," by now, I think, but it shall be done!) |

Actually, if it comes to anyone stepping out, I think it should be me. I am clearly not as excited to play as Durelin. And I did play the last game and will be modding the next...So, if someone else wants to play, remove my name.
