Admin Thread for Tol-In-Gauroth XXIV: Battle of the Band[Wagon]s
Here are the roles/rules that I've got in mind-
Roles 3 Werewolves 1 Ranger 1 Hunter 1 Seer 1 Mytho Rules Double-lynchings shall be allowed. No retracable votes. If you haven't voted for two days straight (even if you're active) without proper reason will lead to you getting killed off. You're welcome to suggest whatever you want and also I'd like everyone to vote for whether or not they want the above written rules. I hope a deadline of 9pm GMT would suit everyone but its flexible so you're welcome to state your preference. *** Moving on, I've been thinking of a new system to toss into the game but of course if the 'Downers are against it I'll scrap it. Which would probably be likely since Kath pointed out people would want a simple game but have a read anyway, this system won't change much. Instead of making the innocent folk completely defenceless against an attack I've been thinking of using a D&D system to determine whether or not the kill was sucessful. Of course the wolves will be ridiculously over-powered so the odds of a villager killing them, much less surviving will be very low so more often than not the selected target will die as per the normal game. I really doubt this will do anything other than give the village folk a bit more hope but as I said its your call. And another note, with the current system the lycan has till daybreak (20 turns) to kill the target and an ordinary villager will die in two succesful hits so it'll take a lot of luck to survive an attack. So then, what do you think? Yes or no? *** Mod Sleepy Ranger Players Menelteramacil Glirdan Macalaure Diamond18 THE Ka Thinlomien Celuien Also, if all of you would kindly PM me the name of a musician (or anyone related to the music industry) when you sign up. This game will be Battle of the Bands themed and your deaths will probably relate to the person you picked. EDIT: Since some people seem to be confused by this, you do not need any knowledge of D&D to play. All that will be handled by me and/or the co-mod if there is one.

I'm holding you to the parley Sleepy! And does your musician pick have to be a singer, or can it be a band??

I have not changed my mind, Sleepy. I will in fact be playing in this game.
I personally am not for the D&D system here, as I prefer the more traditional approach.

The D&D system dpesn't particularly matter to me. Essentially, the villagers would have to have inordinately good luck (or the wolves would have to have inordinately bad luck, depending on your perspective) for it to even make a difference.
Perhaps it would be interesting to apply it to both the ranger and the hunter as well? But that may be left to another game.... I'll sign up tenuously, since I'm not sure where Valier's Golden Hoard game will be at that time.

As I've already said in the main thread, I'm in.
I'm fine with the rules as they are, but there's one question I have: What is a mytho? My musician shall be Trent Reznor. |

I think we're not supposed to say our musicians/bands here on the thread, Mac.
I think the D&D stuff applies to all the roles, or at least that's what Sleepy said a few weeks ago. At any rate, I already told Sleepy I'd play but I supposed I should post here to make it official. It's official. Weee.

Mytho is short for mythomane. The person who gets that role begins the game as a villager but after the first Night they are allowed to choose one player. If the player they choose is Gifted or a wolf, they also become a Gifted or a wolf. So if they choose the Seer the game ends up with 2 Seers, but if the choose a wolf the game ends up with 4 wolves.
At least, that's how it was when I was mytho, things may have changed. I'm going by Mith's rules, Sleepy's may be different.

Already have joined along with PM musical choice, but might as well make a public copy as well.
Hope that this game shall be the better for the pure fun, which seems to have gone from the spirit TIG and werewolf itself. See you soon, I'm off to attend to a canvas. ~ Aesthete

Sorry, Sleepy, but I'm not going to make it. As eager as I am for a new game, I won't be able to dedicate any sort of reasonable ammount of time to it. Really, between getting married, settling a new apartment, and my job, my free waking hours very limited, and those are going to be divided between more work, my husband, and Valier's game. I'll be back in the game eventually, just not this time, and possibly the next few times.

When is this game going to start approximately? I'd love to play, but I might be too much in hurry because of the GGH.

Count me in, Sleepy.
I won't let werewolf die. (Now I feel like a true fighter... ) I must say I might not be able to devote as much time to the game as I usually do, but that actually might be a relief to my fellow players...

I'll play. Don't quite understand the D&D part since I've never tried it, but it sounds interesting.

Ah-hoy there mates! I'm trying to slide back into my old Down's routine, and what better way than the tried and true method of that oh-so-adictive game of WereWolf, eh?
So, if you will have me, I would like to hereby sign on the dotted line, thus absolving myself of the rights to my soul for the next two weeks or so.

If this game and Glirdy's game do not overlap, I could be persuaded...
So put me in as a "strong maybe"?

Actually, if we're going to get one of these games started soon, I think it wise for those signing up here to also sign up for Glirdan's game. It was mentioned on that thread that the two would not overlap, I believe, and since that game appears to have more players than this one, it stands a better chance of gettting off the ground at this point. Not that I personally care which one starts first or favor one game over the other, I just want to get the devourings, bandwagonings, lynchings, etc. started.

I would sign up for Glirdy's game, but I don't think I have the energy for something RP style with an Inn and RPG in the Shire, an Inn and RPG in Rohan, and another RPG soon to begin in Gondor. All on top of RL.

I'll wait a few days till after Glirdan's game to see if we can pick up at least three more players. If we do get at least 15 before that though we can start immediatly after Glirdan's game.

Given the current shortage of werewolf players, I doubt Valier can even start before Sleepy's game is over. I wouldn't worry, Rune.
