From Moria with Love
Okay, here's my beef. After the Fellowship leaves Moria, Aragorn is concerned that they will fall prey to Orcs from Moria after nightfall. But, the Bridge was destroyed! How could the Orcs get out to Dimrill Dale, or how can Aragorn be so stupid?

...and persued them through Lothlorien...
Scenes were cut form the movie where they fought a battle with the orcs after leaving Moria.

And who's to say those same orcs hadn't made any other entrances to and from Moria, or that the Dwarves hadn't made any secret entrances, as well?

Well if you remeber the orcs were climbing those pillars so they could just climb over somehow.

There would have been a lot of orcs living on the east side of Moria. They would have been attracted by the smoke and noise of battle to come and investigate.

That was simply sublime.
yes, there are MANY things that were cut out of the movie or misinterptated. So it is not a good source of information, stick to the books if you wish to understand something plot related from a literary standpoint. Orcs followed the Fellowship even across the river, by Lothlorien. Gollem attempts to sniff the hobbits out when they were hiding up in the trees while the elves were about trying to guard the forest from the Orcs.

Additionally, the orcs probably had ways out of the mines that were not safe or even known to Gandalf or Strider. There were plenty of goblins in the Misty Mountains that could've followed the Fellowship. Remember those in The Hobbit and their hidden gates?
