I'm making tactical changes for one round... ( I basically like to stick with my choices but this time I will be experimenting with this "changing-stuff").
So: replace Huan (GK - Hitlum) for mormwolf (T-I-G) replace Saeros (DEF -Doriath) for Elenwë (Gondolin) And as it seems that the T-I-G team will just run over Brethil, then Nogwolf will be my team's captain... I have a few questions about the tournament. How exactly is it decided which team wins? Also why did Phantom start running the tournament? I am wondering cause it looks like someone named Sleepy started the whole tournament back in 2005.

Hakon- the tournament is simulated after I've done a few.... um... tweaks to the teams.
Yes, I think Sleepy started the whole football tournament thing, but if I'm remembering correctly 2007 was the first time we actually had a competition and such with points. It was very fun, but due to scheduling conflicts the organizers (Sleepy and Arctic) were never able to finish it. It particularly made me sad seeing as I was running away with the points lead. The next year some of us wanted to do it again, so we did, simple as that. Sleepy is out of the mix now primarily because we were never able to contact him and he hasn't been seen on this site for two years. And Shasta- glad you liked it.

You know what would be great, at the end of each game a summary of how many points each player scored, not goals, points. That way we can have a 'real-time' tally of how we are doing that week...or does that 'real-time' scoring require the premium account and I must pay a fee?

Heh heh... yes Morm, real time points results are for gold-level members only. It's $29.95 per month. But seriously, we haven't been doing that simply because it creates more work for the writers who have their own teams to manage and such. Currently I try to do the complete list after all the games are posted, but there's nothing stopping you from looking at who you have and figuring up your points on a piece of paper if you can't wait.

I wouldn't mind keeping track of the points after the matches are in, I am pretty much doing that already. Although, tp, if you could post your complete list again after Rd 2, so I can check to make sure I'm keeping track of the points properly. I am not much of a math person (recently I found 3+4 to be rather difficult
). Anyway, I could post the individual points after the matches come out, no problem...and I won't charget anything to the tournament committee either
