Natural History Quiz
We need more quiz threads, but this is all I could come up with for now. Let's all study the Natural History (animal, mineral, vegetable) of Middle Earth and points West.
To start: Name and describe a flower that grows in Rohan.

Simpelmynde the white starshaped little flower that grew on the graves of the kings - also called 'Everwhite' eller 'Oilos' (from memory - so may be miss spelled) because it grew all year.

Close enough, Telchar! Great memory. Your description is exactly right.
I have the names and spellings as Evermind and Simbelmynë from LOTR. And I see from The Silmarillion that those names would translate to Oiolossë - "ever-snow-white". Your turn!

+ it was the same flower that grew on Fingolfins grave...
An easy one: Bregalad, the ent - which tree did he look like and what kind of tree did he have special care for?

Maltagaerion gets it because this is a 'Natural History Quiz' which I judge to concern 'the plant-kingdom' and I did have the Gaffers potatoes in mind.
Still Lostgaeriel came up with a very brilliant and creative answer - I like that too

What's the "favoured" orcish mode of transport? *apologies if that's ambiguous*
