Re-watching the trailer the Orlando Bloomyness of Bard is...rather...unavoidably noticable.

Its like Will Turner crossed over from the Pirates franchise.

Also...Smaug's dialogue already seems bad.

Sure, take it as its own it's fun. But I cant subsidise PJ when he wants to call this the Hobbit.
