Out of the Darkwood Mr Toppit comes...
I read "Mr Toppit" by Charles Elton today... I suppose the main influence was the effect of Winnie the Pooh on AA Milne but there are more than hints of Tolkien (and Rowling) in the cult status the book achieves. I have to say the book was ...disquieting. Has anyone else read it?
