Heh I like how I'm more interested in the characters in the context of a silly game than I am in actually reading the books. Go me.

Joking, joking.
Didn't you know that I am actually Tom Bombadil? (When Nogrod's on holiday, that is) edit: Again. Enough with the editing, people.

Sally & Mnemo it was simply fair that Fatty died after you killed poor Lobelia!

I'd say pick on someone your own size, but the Face of Boe's not around very often, and I think you'd get along pretty well anyway.

Which one is next? Elves?

I recall seeing once an all-girl band doing
Pretty Woman. Perhaps an all-female cast, or all-monster (Shelob qualifies for either ). Not sure about Lobelia.

Maybe female orcs...that list might be short though. If we do all female will we get the chance to do all male too?
Either orcs or female is fine with me. I suppose Uruks and trolls could count as Orcs

Stay away from the fray for one day and it's all over...
But we had a great winner on this round! Congrats to all those who made Maggot win!

Some of the ideas that have been brought up in the past-
What sort of thing is everyone leaning towards for the next game? How about everyone giving a yes vote for anything and everything you like the idea of. Personally I'd give a yes to Weapons & Armor, Females, Orcs, and Ainu.

I'd say dwarves, women, or Ainur- but if Ainur you'd need
to include some Maiar to get to 20. Or some general mix of the two.

Doh! Quite correct about Ainur covering both.
Btw, if maia included there would be difficult choices since they include Osse, Uinen, Melian, Gothmog. Sauron, etc. In that case should heavyweights like Gandalf, Saruman, Sauron, be excluded if they've already been participants- or seperate games for Valar and Maiar? But, of course, there are other interesting contests suggested above and in the past.

I think we shouldn't artificially bring the list up to 20. If there are 15 Valar (including ol'Morgoth) so be it.
And that goes for Orcs, for instance. I don't think we will find 20 Orcs with anything like a distinct personality in LOTR+Hobbit. So we just list all we remember and so be it, IMO. |

I'd prefer Ainur or females, too.

Maybe separate Vala and Maia contest would be the answer. They're each very different characters and I think people might get upset if they're favourite Maia gets missed out.

We can make two parallel threads: Valar and Maiar contests.
