Elven Blood in Faramir and Boromir
I apologise if this seems ludicris but it has been crawling its way under my skin for a long time (or...whatever a wight has that passes for skin anyway).
This started when I was reading 'Narn i hin Hurin' and looked up Findiulas in the appendix because I remembered that Finduilas was the name of Boromir and Faramir's mother. Quote:

It is quite true that there was a strain of Elven blood in the line of Imrahil and Findulis for they descended from Galador twenty-one generations before. Galador was half-Elven; his father being Imrazôr the Númenórean & his mother being the elf Mithrellas. Of course this is only legend that is passed down in the house of Dol Amroth.
I got the above information from the Encyclopedia of Arda website.

Okay, I just got done with a really deep conversation in another thread, so I think I'm allowed a little nonsense post. But that is cool BEANS! I had no idea about Faramir and Boromir having elvish blood. That is so spiffy. Man, I'm learning new stuff, and I'm not even in school.
