Reminder of the rules, BTW:

This quote game implies that participants translate some quotes into some foreign languages, and than tranlslate it back to English. The actual quote-question is thus in English, just rendered unrecognizable by double (it may be triple, or quadruple or more) cross-translations.

To give you an example:

English: Were the breath of the West Wind to take a body visible, even so would it apper

Russian: Esli bi dikhanie Zapadnogo Vetra imelo bi vidimoe telo, ono bi vigladelo tak

French: Si la respiration du Vent d'ouest aurait le corps visible, il aurait l'air ainsi

English (actual quote to be guessed out): If the breathing of the west Wind would have the visible body, it would seem thus

Not very unrecognizable, but different, see? The actual foreign quotes belong in Quotes in Other Languages thread

Alright, due to TGWBS's thread Lost in Translation this thread is being brought to life again so that we can move our game of guessing the original text (or barrowdowner's name) from the horrible unsensical translation out of his thread...

The translation sites being used are here and here though the second one has more languages and therefore less sensical translations...

I'll get us started with the lovely translated:
