Here is a good site for movie mistakes and such. Forgot to include it in my other post.

I dunno about y'all but I find it REALLY weird when Pippin's being tortured by Sauron through the Palantir and is clearly in pain, but Merry just sits on his bed going "Pippin. Pippin." I mean he didn't even look worried. He doesn't even try to wake Gandalf or get help. i find that creepy and sadistic...

I agree with you, Lady Snickerdoodle. You would think that Merry would yell for Gandalf imediately after Pippin looked into the palantir, when he was clearly in pain. |

Since I'm waiting for the EE to come out (far cry from last year when I bought an Oscar copy in January of TTT), I'll just comment.

Okay, I noticed this in the trailers, and watching RoTK confirmed my suspicions, In the scene where Aragorn enters The Paths of the Dead, his horse runs away, with the sheathe to his sword in it's back!
Later on, when they attack the black gate you see him on a WHITE horse with the sheathe back on his sword! NOw how did they find that sheathe?

Lammoth: I've never caught the seen that One Axe was talking about, but I'm reasonably sure that it was the same sheath.

It's the scene where Aragorn, Gimli, and Legolas walk into the looming black hole that leads into the mountain where they eventually subdue an army of glowing ethereal undead and as a result win the battle of pelennor field and save the race of men.
It's just an interesting inconsistency... If they found Brego and got the sheathe back, then why was Aragorn not riding Brego when they attacked the black gate?

Well dang, this thread just got turned into a discussion...
Sorry guys, I digress. Anyways, I really am wondering how they loaded giant chunks of the city's rubble onto the Trebuchets

Isn`t it strange how we get off topic so easily?
I have no idea, One Axe to Rule them All, but Mordor`s army were using trolls. |

I gave hope to Men...
Sorry for going kinda off topic here, but the "I gave hope to Men, I left none for myself." was (I'm 99% sure of this) said by Arwen to Aragorn in the Tale of Aragorn and Arwen. Thanks!

Maybe it's not really stone, but some kind of lightweight substitute, like Paper Mache?
OKay, maybe not paper mache, but how about Styrofoam?

The gondorians were a sneaky lot, maybe they even used adobe walls to further decieve their foes...

No, Sauron! Aragorn`s mother said it to him before she died! Look in the apendices!
I agree with you Lammoth. What else would the "chunks of the city" be made of? Getting off topic again... |

Speaking of that line that Aragorn's mother says in the book there were somethings about that scene that I thought funny.
First was when Elrond says, "You need more men." and Aragorn replies, "There are none." I really expected Elrond to say, "What happened to the elf army I gave you? Oh yes, yes, I remember... they are all dead! Another part in this scene that is rather funny is when Elrond says, "You have the power to raise an army more deadly than any that walks this earth." Look at Elrond and you will notice him shake and his eyes bug out like he had too much coffee. Don't get me wrong for I love Hugo Weaving for he is one of my favorite LOTR actors, but that scene was weird for some reason.

Sorry if this is repeating something said long ago by someone else .... but I love watching Boromir's tussle with Frodo at the end of FOTR..... as switches from long shot to close up his hair goes smooth - mussy/static-y -smooth - mussy...
I love Hugo Weaving .... and especially that moment in the Council when he does his "tense, nervous headache" bit and seems to be thinking "Why do all these "£$%E££$£ people have to come to MY house..." And somehow those hobbits never seem to be in the right scale... |

speaking of the Council of Elrond...
If you have the EE for FotR (or TTT) using disc 1 go to the scene selections. Go to the last scene (end credits) and go down once more from there. There is a little MTV thing there that I couldn`t help but laugh at on some parts, even though it`s bad.

The one on TTT isn't as bad as the one on FotR. That was NASTY!!!
