Is #3 Fatty Bolger's refrain: Awake! Fear! Fire! Foes! Awake!?

No.
symestreem - warmer, hot! Finwe and Miriel - both colder. #6 - I think I must have been a little confused when I wrote this - I probably should have said "Hurin's kinsman" rather than "Morwen's kinsman". Sorry to everyone - this should clear things up. #7 - Sam is the closest guess so far. For the cryptic part "turning right", think of sled dogs and horses. |

7. Gorlim
I think the command for right for sled dogs is "gee" and Gorlim starts with a "g" and he sorta fits the criteria, so... 6. Could it be Brodda since he married Aerin?

Aha!
And #6 must be Aerin's father, Indor.
Password, anyone?

Arestevana and Saucepan Man have the correct answers! Now for the password...
1. Amon Din: The silent place on which I am. 2. River Running: Water sprinted to the east. 3. Horn Call of Buckland: Hobbits are afraid because their enemies have torches. 4. Weathertop: Atmospheric Conditions on the upside. 5. Indis: Mother of the one with the sharp tongue. 6. Indor: Morwen's kinsman not outside. 7. Gamgee: Faithful companion ends up turning right. *gulps*
Okay, here's my attempt. 1. Cheery hideout stands before stretches of grass. 2. Confused Sam will burn or rob. 3. Araman - Half a judge follows Elvish noble in barren wasteland. 4. Luinil - Blue-shining star. 5. A lack of direction makes Wild Men miserable. 6. Nauglamir - Gift to Elvish leader causes his downfall. 7. Incomers precede heads with dried grass to mock thralls. 8. Aftercomers - Beginnings of a hobbit's departed uncle meet Elvish land, and are translated for men. 9. Long Climb passed by Greenway.
