And although it is a bit saddening to watch Frodo's struggles (I hated the part it TTT where he was petting the ring...), I would almost want to say that it's harder for Sam; having to deal with them and keeping the decaying spirit of his *master* and beyond best friend alive. Aragorn is just awesome. He has the grandest, saddest, most amazing life story I've ever heard, or rather read, of. Just one of those heroes that everyone wishes they could be; one who is completely human, has to rely on his strengths to survive and overcome his weaknesses, and is actually disciplined enough to do it. Mortenson did an excellent job. Poor Merry and Pippin just didn't get enough screen time.
