Tolkien Question about the Commentaries

If anyone has the DVD of the extended version, you know that there are commentaries. Today, I had a lot of free time on my hands so I sat down and watched the whole thing. But one thing puzzled me...
In the end of the movie, Frodo and Aragorn are talking to each other about the ring. Aragorn goes to close Frodo's hand around it, and the ring starts talking to him. Elijah, talking in the commentary, says something like "God bless, I'm so glad they put that in there."
Doesn't the voice say "Elessar"? Is Elijah just making a comment saying he is so glad they put "Elessar" into the film, or does he think the ring really says "God bless"? I rewinded it a few times just to make sure I was hearing him right, and that is what he said. Has anyone else heard this? And does anyone have a clue to what he is referring here?
