Sting Grond Hammer of the underworld

someone out there can tell me was this actually used by Morgoth or was it areference to a hidden power never brought forth... for that mater the symbolism of the hammer seems signifigant given that the hammer is linked with the forge yet at the same time can be the very instrument to shatter and oblitarate any object of captivity ... very crucial considering the instrument by which the valar bound and captivated morgoth was a FORGED chain by which he was apparently drug, slung and hurrled into the void. could a used GROND right about then YA THINK ?

A lovely quote from the Silmarillion. A truly lovely thing, this skill called reading.

Unfortunately for Melkor, Tulkas had a strict strip-search policy. It is said that he would laugh as he conducted these searches.

Getting strip-searched by a mighty Vala? How come Melkor had all the fun?

Did you just skip this paragraph and the post that quoted it earlier in this thread?

This looks like a friendly little thread. I think I may join in briefly:

Quote:

I find myself wondering what other mystical items Tulkas would have found in his search of Morgoth. Surely Victorinox, Pocket-Knife of the Underworld; the mighty Crib-Sheet of the Ainur and the Folding Catapult of Mischief are all prime candidates. Obviously you're not imagining the discovery of any large weapons.

Lush, you have a one-track mind. It's unhealthy.
