New Server
Well, as you can see, the forum is up again. Sorry for the down-time, but we needed to move it to another, hopefully more reliable, server. Not that the other one was bad, but now the forum can act more indepently from the main site and not cause any slow-downs over there. Anyways, enjoy the forum and please report and problems you see.
Thanks,

Oops! Looks like the e-mail function isn't set up right. I'll get it fixed ASAP, but if you are waiting for a password to be e-mailed to you, it may not function until I fix this. Sorry for any inconvenience.

E-mail is fixed. Private messages and password retrieval should be fine now.

Hey BW!
got to admit downloading IS noticeable faster (from my part of the globe, anyway). I even checked out the BD art pages, and I didn'thave to get out of my chair to make coffee (w/c I often did before)! You see, I have a bad habit of toggling from one window to another (minimum of 3-4), browsing several websites at the same time (not including chatting at the BD chatsite). Great work! One itsy-bitsy question though - (uh-oh, I can almost hear you say! ) How come some threads are sometimes missing when I go looking for them? Particularly in the RPG forum? (but it could just be me... being a newbie and all )! Again, thanks Barrow-Wight et al for thinking about our convenience, and good work!!! |

I don't see much difference in Quality, it's as good as ever. But all my archived messages got trashed...waaahh!

I would also like to express my appreciation. After setting up my own forum I have come to realise how much work is involved, and mine is tiny compared to this one. So I realise how big something like moving servers is. So, BIG thank you for all your hard work!

Thank you, everyone.
Archived messages were lost? How did you normally access them? I bet I can find them.

Thanks, Your Wightiness! I am not exactly knowledgable about computers, so I have no clue what you did or what's different (unless its obvious like what you did with fan fic, thank you much for that too). But thanks anyway!
Later: Oh no! I lost all my personal messages too! I accessed them through my profile. But luckily, I keep the e-mail notification that contained a copy! Go me! [ May 19, 2002: Message edited by: Aosama, the Wandering Star ] |

Please post the EXACT error (cut and paste it) you are getting when trying to access PMs. I may be able to recover them and fix the problem.
