Father, I make the choice. I can't get Taimar's answer out of my mind. This seems for Legolas in some ways and in some ways not. He was in the rear of the 'Grey Company', and the Dead followed. But I don't know why Legolas would have ever suggested a terror of the sea (for that is what this seems to refer to). Perhaps it means 'death'...but again, Legolas has no fear of the Dead or death. Perhaps someone else can elaborate further and we can solve this before the Galspter returns. Yes Kittle, gem was supposed to be the real clue in that one. And you are correct, she was a descendent of the BR; most of his descendents lived in Long Cleeve. (But I'm pretty sure that Long Cleeve was a place, not a family. Though I don't remember why that was supposed to be nor do I remember where I read it. Does anybody else remember? But I think her family was called the North-Tooks.)
