Why not just take the classic approach, and name him Shadowfax. You could also take the name Nahar (Orome's horse)

1420!

How about frostbite. Here are some others: ivory, snowflake (if you want to have it sound cute or something), pearl. That's all I can really think of from the info you've given.

Just wondering why you are asking? Did you get a white horse? If so what breed is it? Can you tell us something about it?

Oh and by the way Snowmane is the all time best name for a white horse. Its just so god dong purty

Elvish names always sound beautiful on a horse. So why not name it something in Elvish?(Like I suggested earlier.)Or you could name it after Legolas's horse, since you like him so much,or something like that. And some more are...........

5.Aikanaro

6.Alata

7.Ankalima

8.Helkelimbe

9.Nim'loki

That's about it.

Shadowfax would be great and Snowmane too (as many other people have already told you) I would so name my horse Shadowfax if I had one

Onomatopoeia. And "to" is spelled with letters, not numbers. Maybe you shouldn't have mocked your superintendent. He never intended to be as super as you do.

Well you've clearly got to call it Shadowfax! But if you're wanting another suggestion, how about Icicle? Or Frostillicus?

How about Arod? That was Legolas's horse. In the movie Arod was white.

Personally, I don't like copying names as much. I know this looks really bad because of my screen name, but I still don't like copying. So, even though, Shadowfax and Ecthelion are nice, I'd got for Snowmane. That was non-LOTR right?

ummmm.... Actually, Snowmane was Theoden's horse... But I'd still go for Snowmane!

Quote:
onomatopoeia

\On`o*mat`o*p[oe]"ia\, n. [L., fr. Gr. ?; ?, ?, a name + ? to make.] (Philol.) The formation of words in imitation of sounds; a figure of speech in which the sound of a word is imitative of the sound of the thing which the word represents; as, the buzz of bees; the hiss of a goose; the crackle of fire.

If it is a male horse, "formen" means north (it is the name of a tengwar letter) and "silme" means starlight.

Horses often have long, strange names. Pick what you like, make it sound cool, and you've got a name for a horse.
