Count me as someone who didn't mind the Bakshi film. Although flawed, I felt it was ambitious for such a limited budget. In my opinion, he deserves credit for that. I would rather see a film maker take some chances and fall short of the mark then to just repeat a successful formula derived by his or her predecessors.<P>H.C.
