Quotes that apply
I was wondering if anyone else finds themselves thinking of LotR quotes that perfectly describe something happening in your life. Like at the moment I have chronic fatigue and my mum isn't very well either, and I feel bad laying my troubles on her and makes me think of the quote "Why do you lay these troubles on an already troubled mind". Different context but the seem to apply.
Anyone else have similar quotes? [ March 25, 2003: Message edited by: Silmarien ]

There's already a thread for this here.

I wanted to have a more serious one of them, rather than just lines out of the books/movies, actually places where it really fits, and isn't just overobsessive silliness. I don't have a problem with overobsessive silliness, I just thought this was different.

I'm not sure if this is considered over-obsesive silliness, so please tell me, but when I get my homework and there's more of it than I think, I always say in my head either "What is this new devilry?!" or "why do you lay these troubles on an already troubled mind?" Don't know if they fit, though.

Yes Galadrieloftheolden that's what I'm talking about. Sayings that come to mind to particulary do with stuff rather than just shouting "It's mine, my precious about anything. Not that there's anything wrong with that .
