Question I'm curious... Did Legolas have a wife.

Did Legolas have a wife? I dont know this, if I missed in the book, I must be nearsighted, but him being 2,500 some odd years old, he should have hooked up by now. Maybe his wife is back at mirkwood, or over the sea, or is he forbidden to marry till he is king when tharanduil kicks the bucket(via a war) or leaves middle-earth?

We're never told of one.

We're also never told of his age, where'd you get that number from?

Tolkien never gave Legolas a birth year, PJ came up with some age for him that was mentioned in one of the film books, but that was not the book characters age.

If he was married, she was probebly over the sea. After he left the fellowship, he hung out with gimli, in fact, he went over the sea with gimli If he had a wife, he would probebly have gone to see her at some point in time!

Elves are imortal, 2000 and some years may seem like a long time, but really to elves, it is probebly not that long.

I have no doubt that he did have one, though it might not have been while in Middle-earth. Whoever his wife was, she wasn't important.

Tight! That was an interesting question. I'm sure a lot of the girls on this site are dying to know! Well, I agree with youall, we are never really told much about Legolas's personal life. But I never really was parcial to him...the only one i know about is Frodo...sorry for all those of you who are tiring of reading me saying that! *smacks forehead* I need a hobby.

What I really think, is that he found all he ever wanted in Gimli, his long lost soul-mate

Well he never mentioned a Legolina! The reason for that may have been that he (above most) could not find the propper words to describe her... But if that was so, I cannon imagine him go a-roaming with Gimli even after his plights are done and the world is free from Sauron
