Two Towers in Engrish
I have vague recollection of seeing this site via the downs years ago, but I cannot find the thread to bump up, so I decided to create a new one.
These are Asian (not sure from which country) pirate version English subtitles to the movie The Two Towers. I don't know the exact method of translation, but I suspect some rather inept machine. These subtitles are hilarious - Rohan turns into the land of ghost-lords, Aragorn is the son of Alfred and Gimli is not a shield in a grave yard and so on. See these screenshots and enjoy: http://www.angelfire.com/rings/ttt-s...020/index.html ps. if someone finds a duplicate thread, mods feel free to merge.

Hilarious! I wonder why they can't capitalize "I"s and write "you" instead of "u". I mean, it's not even grammar or a bad translation!
My favourite is "You give your horse master I shall give you mine?" Treebeard is so senile he can't tell the difference between "oak" and "orc". Quote:

Sorry, I was just writing my thoughts as I went along. This makes me think nostalgically of the regular TTT. Lommy, thank you very much for the link! It made my day!

To cheer myself up I revisited this link, and it slightly overdid the job. I was nearly falling from my chair, giggling hysterically. I thought I'd bump this thread up so that others will see it.
Honestly, where do they get all that stuff? I suppose I can understand the sound-alikes (river death, ghost lords, toast), but where do they get things like sneeve? Or go to hell? You wouldn't be able to come up with this brilliancy if you tried.

What is this magic? Is it Eru Illuvatar's gift to us?

I also wondered if somebody's been influenced by Game of Thrones, seeing the way Éomer talks about his sister. This also looks like it came out of our Crazy Captions:

And the GOT reference is a golden-haired brother desiring a golden-haired sister (here, Eomer and Eowyn - one of the captions had Eomer saying that he has long desired her, or something to that extent).
