What is "Fantasie" other than the German word for fantasy ?

Turambar:
In Bilbo's song Errantry, the term "Fantasie" is used as perhaps an imaginary land where the wanderer is "roaming over Belmarie and Thellamie and Fantasie". According to Merriam-Webster the word is used in the same context as Fantasia, (ala Chernobog ), to denote a "musical composition free and fanciful in form." Finwe: The Fellowship "grouping" was much nicer than the thematic one in this password puzzle.

In a poor attempt to provide a tricksy question, I've only tricked myself! After finding finally a map of the Third Age with political boundaries marked, here is resubmitted the first clue in (hopefully) easier form so we can wrap up sooner:
One Minas Morgulian grouping left Butterbur drooping : Fell Riders Two, a monster cache, a place of doom: Angband Three, at this age what angst a tweener would be suffering?: Nwalme, torment, tengwar#20 Is four a mound, or stone, a place for bones? : Tombs (Denethor) A fifth, a time in Bree to be mead a-drinking: Afterlithe, called "Mede" in Bree The sixth is where there lived an Inkling: Sandfield Road, Oxford Seven's a remedy for overheating: Isenmouthe (ice-in-mouth) Guess eighth and poser end is soon, for it is a burial bloom: Evermind Turambar has guessed the password, FANTASIE. <font size=1 color=339966>[ 12:14 AM December 16, 2003: Message edited by: Celebrian ] <font size=1 color=339966>[ 9:58 PM December 16, 2003: Message edited by: Celebrian ]

Here's mine:
1) Unit of measure in Númenórë or Angamandi. 2) The universe tore sick mariner. 3) Half a ringbearer leads departing ones. 4) Assembly that is Quenya and father. 5) Chamber not outside, former Elven land. 6) Maiarin son of Aulendil. 7) Food-man of the Third Company. Good luck!

#2 Earendil: Ea (the Universe) + rend (tore) + il (ill/sick).
#5 Hollin: Holl (Hall/Chamber) + in (not outside).

I remember reading somewhere that the original, Westron version of "Samwise" was "Banazir," or at least I think the name in question was "Samwise."

Let us clarify #3 and #4:
3. The departing ones is the straight clue, and the Ringbearer mentioned has exactly an even number of letters. Which ring? It'll be yours, if you want to... *eeew* 4. That is really not a "cryptic clue," but a proper statement with two quotation marks removed. Put the quotation marks in the proper place, and the answer will hit you like a precision-guided Hellfire. If you didn't notice, all your answers were shot down by my Phalanx...
