I don't think an abc of plant-names in M-E is possible, but we might try of course.
B is for Blossoms, not exactly a name of a plant (as far as I know), but is has something to do with plants. Well, it's all I could come up with.

D is for The Dead Tree - The last White Tree of Gondor, which died at the same time as Belecthor II the twenty-first Ruling Steward; for lack of a seedling, the dead tree was left standing in the courts of Minas Tirith. It was finally replaced by Aragorn, who with the help of Gandalf found the last remaining seedling on the slopes of Mount Mindolluin.
The Dead Tree was laid to rest in the catacombs of Rath Dínen. |

Actually, Blue Pixie, the theme is plants, and you have to say the definition. I'll pick up the E and say...
Enting, a term used for the certain ents who were viewed as young in the eyes of the more mature ones. The ents kinda count as plants, don't they?

P is for Pipe-weed.
The description speaks for itself. I can only say that the Fellowship had lack of it for a long time.

Alright, the next abc will be about names of Men (no elves, dwarves or any other races, just men).
With the A I was doubting between Aragorn and Ar-pharazon so I'll just do them both. Aragorn: he was a member of the Fellowship and he leaded it too for some time. He was leader of the Dunedain and he became King of both Gondor and Arnor. Ar-pharazon: the ruler of the Numenorians who broke the Ban of the Valar, seduced by whispers of Sauron.

B is for Beren, who came upon Luthien singing in the forest. He is the ultimate ancestor of all the Numenorean Kings, and the Great-Grandfather of Arwen, Queen of the reunited Kingdoms of Gondor and Arnor.
You know, Aragorn and Arwen were some species of cousin....
