Nice to see that my thread is still up and kicking....I do notice that the questions are welll....not vague enough..
 Here is my first post Vague Descriptions I came up with this new game, might be a good one!Here's how it goes...You make up a question about someone,thing,or place(,LOTR related of course) being as vague as possible.who ever gets it right starts a new one. Please start your questions with that guy/girl,that thing,that place,or something along that line so it's not too vague! I will start... You know that Girl with the feet?The one who's name could describe cheeks?And something soft? The answer of course is Rosie Cotton, but you see how the consept has strayed a little...If this is more desirable for people then, hey keep on truckin' just thought I'd give a heads up.

That was the answer I thought someone may post
But no, we are not told that she was vulnerable to disease, only that it affected her. But the important thing is about the vulnerability. Now since you ruled out this option, there are not many others left.

I believe you speak of Frodo Baggins, who after returning to the Shire had long periods of illness, especially around the aniversary of his stabbing on Amon Sûl. Because of this vulnerability, he was forced to sail west.

Nope, no way. Did you ever read he was vulnerable to it? I didn't.
Forget Angband at last. Forget ill winds. This disease did not spread by wind. It was not spread by, for example, blood contact as well. You won't get the disease if you were eating from the same plate as the person who has it. And so on. You won't find it in a medical's handbook. Not even in a medical handbook of a medic who would work in M-E.

The main point, though, resp. the only thing that is stated explicitely in the books is, that this person was vulnerable to the disease. There is not actually explicitely stated that this person actually caught this disease. (Although it of course is plain from the narration, but if we were really picky...)
