Good job, people! We're a week ahead of schedule! Let's keep it up.
Is there a reason for the jump between Apr. 20th and 30th?

Sorry for putting us back to schedule. Gmail decided that BD notifications were junkmail, so I had no idea it was my turn before Oddie poked me on Friday. It was a really busy day for me, so I told her I'd draw the picture the next day, and lo! I forgot, of course. Now it's very late Sunday night and I remembered it again, but I have an exam tomorrow and I still have to study for it, so I can't really start drawing now. However, I will definitely do it tomorrow because I'm seeing Agan and Greenie and maybe one more friend for a homemade drawing/painting class so I can definitely use part of my time for doing the PT pic and they can make sure I do it...

Hi Eorl! We're in the middle of a long game right now, but I'll keep you in mind if I need a backup, and I'm sure there'll be a spot in the next game for you to claim.

No, not really, more like it froze. We're way behind the DLs!
Incidentally, do any of you old-timers know what's the record time for a PT to finish? Like half a year or a year and a half?

Ssssssoooooooooooooooo. Thennnnnnn. If the final deadline was actually deadly, we're beyond safe right now. We're unconquerable demigods ruling the fates with an iron fist.
Would we like to stop now? Or figure it's only three more people and just keep going?

I'd like to keep going. It's still amusing, and maybe we should just use the people who are actually active on here.

At this point with only three left, it seems kind of a waste to just cut it short.

Maybe no doubles. Or, then, stricter DLs.

Stricter deadlines is difficult to enforce, especially during long games. I mean if you are number 8 on the list, it doesn't take many delays for the PT to ring at a time when you are not expecting it (and maybe not on the Downs much)
Anyways, if a system could be put in place, then I am all for stricter deadline. However I do think that the easiest solution will be less participants in each game... |

It is an interesting game! But not as interesting as the games you can play with dental suction units!
Noggie, could you poke Lommy again? I'm not sure when she was last on FB

Time at last for the latest edition of PAPER TELEPHONE!
Today's secret code word is: Quote:
Aganzir chortled in her glee, fired up the oven, and then drew this picture: Rikae had to repeatedly asked for extra awesomesauce, finally resorting to screaming: Quote:
Galadriel55 was not invited. No way, no how. Because when asked to draw up a menu for the event, she instead drew this: Nogrod, fortunately, could read Atlantian, and told everyone the meaning of the picture: Quote:
Eonwe eliminated the impossible, and what remained was this improbability: |

Legate had to get all bureaucratic on the party, and slapped this warning label onto the dangerous image:
Quote:
Rune made the discovery that beef is great at removing labels. Also, most of the paint. Just look at this: It was the first thing that Hookbill had ever seen that wasn't confusing as all get out. He immediately dedicated eigteen weeks worth of The Downer to this poem: Quote:
Greenie was hired to illustrate three of the editions. She did the other fifteen for free. Most of the illustrations greatly resembled this: Gil-Galad was upset at the cliffhanger ending, and wrote a nasty letter to Argentina: Quote:
Blind Guardian went about her morning routine. She stole a neat looking package from Gil's mailbox, which contained a lot of glitter and this picture: |

Sally couldn't stand it anymore and screamed:
Quote:
Lommy exploded in suprise! The powder burns on the wall looked like this: TGEW was convinced of foul play. In her report to the police, this quote was taken out of context, and later became the basis for yet another creation myth: Quote:
MCR sneakily sabotaged TGEW's report, adding a few embellishments of her own: It was food for thought. Aganzir bit it. After they wrestled it out of her mouth, her teethmarks spelled out: Quote:
Rikae did what she could with what was left, but had to piece together some missing areas with some nearby Dark Matter: |

G55 was afraid of the dark! She left all the lights in the house on, running from room to room screaming:
Quote:
Eonwe was enthralled. It soon became apparent that he was insane. As he was carted off, he proclaimed: Quote:
Rune fell into one of the prototype traps. He escaped easily, despite losing both his legs. He wanted to get this tattooed on himself to commemorate the event: Quote:

Greenie hunted him down in cold blood. On his tombstone she wrote:
Quote:
Gil dug up the body that night. But instead of a body, he found this: Blind Guardian came up with a scientific theory to explain the anomaly, and called it: Quote:
Sally refuted her claim, claiming that that sort of thing happened all the time. It happened to her fifth cousin all the time. Then she drew this on her van and drove off into the sunset: Lommy loved it! She had to have it! So she stole it. But she did change the licence plate to read: Quote:
TGEW objected on the grounds of poor hygiene. So she threw dirt at it until it looked like this: And over the end credits, MCR could be heard reading the epilogue: Quote:
The end!

Rikae's picture left me in fits of giggles.
And, Blind Guardian, how dare you? Sean Bean isn't creepy!

Haha, guys, that was amazing!
Aganzir, Nog, and Rikae, I adored your pictures! Legate, your sentence cracks me up. I'm up for the next round.

The sentence of Blind Guardian made me laugh a lot.
Legate, you knew I was the next in line.... why did you do it? I got proper annoyed with both drawing and text, well actually I liked the drawing, but why all that text? Anyways it was a good read, with some excellent drawings! (especially Rikae) And of course it wouldn't be complete, if I didn't bitch a bit. |

Rikae, your pic is just fabulous! Greenie's is rather... mystical. I would really like to hang it in my room, but I wouldn't have expected it in PT (but then again, it was stemming from the sentence...). Nog's pic is actually pretty neat, because I think the people are really well recognizable!
Ah, but I didn't know you were after me until I looked. I seldom check who is after me before I draw/write. With the text, I think that sort of text is pretty well open to interpretation, so why not just that...
