As much as I enjoy the films, I also wish that they'd put in the characters they skipped, like Glorfindel, Déagol, Lumpkin (Fatty I mean), Goldberry etc. But, as people with bad knowledge of french might have said in the 2nd world war, "Ah non! Il y a un bomb à d'île de pâques!" ("Oh no, there is a bomb on Easter Island!")

My first reaction to this one:
But I think I got it! ...un bomb à d'île... Bombadil!

Oh, it didn't even cross my mind there might be another word hidden! But now that you said it I had to take a closer look on your sentences. Does the 2nd word you're looking happen to be Ea (Eä)? In: ...Easter Island...

Is it Gollum then, as in ...Deagol, Lumpkin...

Nope, sorry.
This is a bit different from the earlier ones. The word and the clue to it are in the first sentence and the second tells you how to find it. Does this help at all?

This is a shot in the dark, but I'm going to guess that its "Eru", because "Nothing will turn it bad" indicates that the word is turned around. Also, Eru is pure goodness and never changes, right?

I can't think of anything but 'elves' in
"Everyone loves Varda..." I left the 'o' out as you left the 7 dwarves (Snow-white and the...). Quite far fetched but I tried my best.

I think it is ELVES too. Except from a different place.
Everyone loves Varda, Elbereth, Snow-white... ELVES... The 'firstborn' refers to the first letters.

Well at least I got the right word. But you're the one who deserves the credit for the right answer, alaklondewen, that is when Diamond confirms our guesses.

Yep, it's "Elves", and alaklondewen guessed right about the "firstborn" part. So it's your turn.

OK, I think this is probably pretty easy too, but here it is:
Small ornaments may be found in the Elven realm.

Yep! Omen i-Estel Edain, u-chebin estel anim. Aragorn's mother, Gilraen said this, meaning: "I gave Hope to the Dunedain, I have kept no hope for myself." Sadness.

How could Shelob utter Burrahobbit's name, when She has never even visited the Barrow Downs, let alone posted on a topic here? ... And the answer's not Shelob!

"Carpet every loft, every boring old room, now," said the silver haired man whose first name was Birch.

Sorry, Diamond, Ingold was unintentional. The right answer was Celeborn. I thought "silver-haired" and "birch" (Tree-of-Silver) would be a clue.
Silmarien, the turn is yours.

The people of the Northern Waste lent Arizona the use of their most prized sword, Smith.
