Orual,
I have not been here for the past few days (trip) and will not be able ot get onto my computer again till monday because of spring break. I will read over the RPG and post as soon as I return. If there is anything specific that you would like my character to do, please tell me, for he and I are rather lost at the moment. If you need to use him while I am gone, you have my permission to. As always, with deep respect, ~Galadel

Howdy. Just to let you know, I'm still checking in and still very interested in finishing this RPG!
I may not be able to post this week, however. Hopefully some of the more major Haradrim characters can keep things cranking in the meantime. Cheers... *Gimilzôr* |

I have just returned!! Just thought that I let you all know that. I will be checking up on the RPG when possible and posting when I can find an opening. Adenain and I are seriously looking forward to working further in this RPG.

Still here as well
Just wondering about what to do with Khalad. We already got one Gondorian prisoner, and if Khalad and the other Gondorian knights were to attempt destroying the catapults, chances are they will be caught too. So perhaps they should simply abandon their errand upon seeing the Haradrim camp? Or do the Southrons need a few more prisoners? |

Game Plan
I'm back!
I'm so sorry I've been gone for a while. I've been having some trouble getting online, and very limited online time. I think I'm good now, though. Daniel, I don't know what the Haradrim players need right now, but my suggestion would be for Khalad to see what is happening and either send a messenger (who you could play) or go himself back to the settlement to inform Anhelm, who would send backups and most likely come himself. This could lead to another battle, and a retreat by the Gondorians back to the settlement. The Haradrim could follow them, resulting in a confrontation and eventually the final showdown, which will end in the evacuation of the settlement. How does this sound to everybody?

It sounds fine with me! I'll send Khalad back to Anhelm with news once he and the others have scouted. And then we can follow your plan, unless of course somebody disagrees? If not, then I'll post one of the following days.

Sounds excellent. Glad you're back, Orual!
Time to push things ahead to the final confrontation. I guess we'll soon have to decide how it all finishes, and what happens to each character. And the poor widdle civilians... |

I'm sorry to say this, but I'm afraid I'll have to pull out of the Poros RPG. My time and commitment does not allow me to continue to participate, unfortunately. I hope you have a fun game without me and won't have any troubles because of my departure.

I'm sorry to hear that, Daniel...especially since Galadel Vinorel PM'd me and told me that she had to pull out as well.
Okay, look, I think we can finish this. I'm going to put up a post as a Gondorian soldier, who goes to Anhelm. Anhelm will send backups. If everybody's on board, there could be a battle--quick--then the Gondorians will retreat to the settlement. One final battle, evacuation, whoever dies will die (Galadel asked that Adenain not die, for the record), and the game is over. How's that sound, guys? ~Orual

Nerindel,
It's fine. You don't need to change anything Everybody, My computer is on the fritz. I don't know how often I'll be able to check in. Computer use has been spotty lately, as I'm sure you can tell, and will continue to be spotty. Hopefully we'll either fix the problem or get a new computer soon, but I just want to warn you that I may be fairly irregular in my computer use. Thanks, ~Orual

I know that Orual is having computer problem, and you have lost two gamers but it has been a week since the last post.
A slow motion build up to the battle? What can be done to get this moving a bit faster? It's a good game and a good read. Bethberry, Moderator for Rohan

I would post, but my character is rather stuck at the moment with Nerindel's...and the person who plays the commander hasn't been posting for quite a while now either.

O
Okay, guys, I just got a new computer, so I'm back to speed.
I have to admit that I'm pretty much stuck as well. The only thing I can suggest right now is that Anhelm and his men just rode up to start a fight. Perhaps the Haradrim could spot the Gondorians and the battle could start. Anhelm's first priority is to get Astalder back safely, and he's not going to be big into the foresight thing, so a battle will ensue because of his lack of preparation. I'm going to PM Mano, see what's up. If anybody has suggestions or problems or anything, just post it here or PM me. (Thanks so much for all your help, Bethberry!) ~Orual |

Thanks, Nerindel!
Okay, next move, as far as I can see, is pursuit by the Haradrim. I PM'd Manophazan, so hopefully he'll be back soon. The Gondorians should get to the settlement before the Haradrim, but will have precious little time to prepare. The Haradrim will converge on them--perhaps fronted by an at least moderately aggravated Jinan?--and the final battle will ensue, resulting in the evacuation. If y'all could all put here what end you would prefer for your characters...? Death, survival with injuries, survival with no injuries? We can plan the final battle around that. ~Orual

Nova and I have already worked out what we want to do with Jinan and Frozhal. Jinan will be surrounded by a group of Gondorians, Frozhal will have a chance to rescue him but won't. In the end, a troup of Haradrim will rescue Jinan -- but not before he has been mutilated. *evil Calvin grin*
I'll get a post for Jinan some time tomorrow. And what you did was great, Nerindel. Jinan will be in a most heinous mood.

Ends
Okay, so Frozhal dies and Jinan gets hacked up. Galadel asked that Adenain not die, so he'll get evacuated. I'm still waiting on a PM from Manophazan, but once he's back he'll decide what Lan'Kash's end will be. Novnarwen, what'll it be for Astalder?
For Anhelm, if it's okay with everybody (especially Nerindel), I think the best end for him would be to go down with his ship. I know it's a little odd for the game owner's character to die, but I think it's most in line with the character. Thoughts?

Frôzhal dies? Eeek, I didn't know that. Have I said that? Orual - my character is Frôzhal, and not Astalder, so I wouldn't really know "what it would be for Astalder." Anyway, I don't really think Frôzhal should die. I think it would be a bad idea if we kill of Frôzhal too. Isn't it ironic how the "bad leader" (Frôzhal) survives when the "good leader" (Jinan) dies? Cheers, Nova

I haven't heard back from Mano yet. Novnarwen and Imladris, would it be easier for the two of you if I took up Lan'Kash in Mano's absence?

Excellente, Mano. Now, what do you want to end up happening to Lan'Kash? and Nerindel, what's it going to be for Astalder? (I got it right this time! Yay!)
I believe so far we have... Jinan's going to crawl away from the battle, alive but with serious injuries... Frozhal's going to die... Adenain is going to get evacuated... Anhelm is going to die. And I'm going to assume that Daniel wouldn't want Khalad to die, so he'll survive. Lan'Kash and Astalder are unknown for now.

Oops! Sorry, Novnarwen, I guess I read wrong. For some reason I was under the impression that Frohzal died.
I've PM'd doug*platypus, and he should be responding with his plans for the rest of the RPG. In other news, I'll be gone for the weekend. I should be back by Monday, though if the weather's truly nasty I might not be even staying the night. For safety's sake, though, let's assume that I won't be back till Monday.

Hi guy's
ok I have been thinking hard about this as I really like Astalder and his family (always typical for the writer to want to hang on to her character huh! ) But the only way I see him leaving is if he is ordered too! I do see there being a confrontation between him and Lan'kash, perhaps after he mortally wounds the Captain. But how that goes will depend on Mano, if he agrees to have Lan'kash die then a dieing Anhelm can order him to retreat. But if Lan'kash is to live he will have to defeat Astalder, no easy feat but I see them as pretty equally matched. so the long and short of it is: if Lan'kash is to die then Astalder lives but if Lan'kash is to live Astalder will die. over to you Mano!

I'm up for anything, really. Everyone could write part of the battle scene and then Lan and Ast could have a big fight at the end. That'll sell tickets to the movie. Let's have Lan'kâsh die and Astalder barely escape with his family. That'll set us up for a sequel some day!

I'm back!
Okay, so Lan'Kash dies and Astalder escapes with his family. I've re-evaulated my plan for Anhelm; I don't think this story ends happily for him, and I think that he'd be happiest in the circumstances with a warrior's death. Mano, maybe Lan'Kash could wound him before he fights with Astalder? Then, Nerindel, Astalder could drag him out of the settlement, badly injured but not dead. How's that sound?

I filled in my save last night. Just to make sure everybody knows. The Poros is now ready for whatever the Haradrim have to throw at them.
I mean, kind of.
