I wonder why I get feeling that FH wasn't on too many sports teams in earlier life.... that competitive streak was not channelled enough methinks....

Only if Halma and Bridge are also.... On this side of the Atlantic... well things are a bit lax, but unless you are a Paralympian - a sport is something you have to leave your chair to participate in....
But then I was a founder member of my Uni's women's rugby team - it's not the winning - it's the taking apart...

Uh, yeah, so .... back on topic... Let's see... what else do I love about the Downs? Oh yes, it provides a nice distraction from silly mundane things like English homework. Plus, I love it when you discover that other people are into the same dorky things as me, ie Pink Floyd, Monty Python, Hitchhikers Guide, and so forth. Makes me feel less alone in the world. |

Your offended? I am shattered ..... "In my day..." Hitchhikers was new, cool and in teh argot of the day trendy .....
but then may be that is another glory of the downs that there are younger people who regard your youthful obsessions as a cult rather than merely tragic!

I just thought of something else... I love the fact that it's got a black background... nice and easy on the eyes, especially late at night.
