I can see what you mean but frankly if we just go forwards and backwards this game will last forever and it wil become boring. Your reaction is just something we need here. When there is danger then there are feelings and actions and this game makes sense - and becomes fun. I mean it would be nice if no one died in werewolf so that we could all play it to the end - but then there would be no end to it and it would be a boring game of ww indeed.

Which rules are we playing by - every third person, or every fifth?
Nogrod, I understand your reasoning, but why Frodo? Why not Sauron, or the Witch King, or the Warg Leader? Why Frodo? He saved Middle-Earth, for goodness sake, and to make things worse, he was mis-represented in the movie.

Just about everyone bar Boromir was misrepresented in the Movie. Maybe they are just following Tolkien's example . Fodo is a tad doomed ...effectively dead once stabbed by the Witch-King. Morm said every 5 so...
Anyway - Hurt the sub-vogon poet and heal the shieldmaiden. Aragorn(11) Boromir(12) The Chief Warg (10) Eowyn(16) Frodo(4) Fingolfin(10) Gimli(12) Gothmog(non-Balrog)(9) Gothmog(Balrog)(7) Gamling(12) Hama(12) Samwise Gamgee (15) Sauron(7) Tom Bombadil (11) Witch-King(11)

The game's creator ended up saying every 3 and I'm good with that so let's go with that.

Nogrod is absolutely correct. We need to make a proper show of this.
Now, let me admit that the anti-Warg congregation on this website will never let the Chief Warg go so far as to win the competition- -read all about the history of injustice towards Wargs on The Warg and Warg Rider Appreciation Thread -but I am prepared to make alliances to ensure he reaches the latter stages of the competition, thus highlighting the glory of Wargdom in a new arena. So: I am listening to your offers. Consider me a mercenary henceforth, with votes to buy.

I help assure that your Wolfie make it deep into the competition and you help me with Samwise, who of downs fame is your biggest supported of Wargs so you owe him that much. It might actually be fun to see your Warg win and then see your reaction. I won't vote against him and in fact I will will him as occasion permits.

You can count on me Mormegil. (Great to see you again, by the way. )
Boromir will know death while Samwise Gamgee will have an extra protector.

The campaign for the Warg's honour and glory has got a new member. But I cannot accept this deal with mormegil, because Boromir is almost as cute as Eomer of the Rohirrim.
Another arrangement, perhaps? Hurt Frodo, Heal the Chief Warg Aragorn(11) Boromir(11) The Chief Warg (13) Eowyn(16) Frodo(3) Fingolfin(10) Gimli(12) Gothmog(non-Balrog)(9) Gothmog(Balrog)(7) Gamling(12) Hama(13) Samwise Gamgee (15) Sauron(6) Tom Bombadil (11) Witch-King(10) |

I don't have anything against the Chief Warg. At least not for now. Let him stay. But 13 is too much. As long as he is up to 10, I don't mind him.
Hurt the Chief Warg, heal Gamling Aragorn(11) Boromir(11) The Chief Warg (12) Eowyn(16) Frodo(3) Fingolfin(10) Gimli(12) Gothmog(non-Balrog)(9) Gothmog(Balrog)(7) Gamling(13) Hama(13) Samwise Gamgee (15) Sauron(6) Tom Bombadil (11) Witch-King(10) And I am also not comfortable with this attack on Boromir. He is good.

I have never played this kind of game before, but I can see the mechanics. This game will start after this warm-up when there are something like 5-8 contestants left and all of us will have strong feelings on one or two of them. *looking forwards to it*
So in the meantime to get forwards: hurt Sauron, heal Boromir Aragorn(11) Boromir(12) The Chief Warg (13) Eowyn(16) Fingolfin(11) Gimli(12) Gothmog(non-Balrog)(8) Gothmog(Balrog)(6) Gamling(13) Hama(14) Samwise Gamgee (15) Sauron(5) Tom Bombadil (12) Witch-King(11) Eliminated: Haldir by mormegil Frodo by Legate of Amon Lanc

It gets to the point where double hurting becomes very valid but let's discuss that later.
Hurt Boro Heal Sam Aragorn(11) Boromir(11) The Chief Warg (13) Eowyn(16) Fingolfin(11) Gimli(12) Gothmog(non-Balrog)(8) Gothmog(Balrog)(6) Gamling(13) Hama(14) Samwise Gamgee (16) Sauron(5) Tom Bombadil (12) Witch-King(11) Eliminated: Haldir by mormegil Frodo by Legate of Amon Lanc

One variant rule might be to some time have two
hurts and one heal per selection. That would lead to a finite time for an elimination (with a momentum sort of like musical chairs).
