Book of Lost Tales stuff. In BoLT, Makar and Measse the bloodthirsty warriors are added to that number, and several of them have kids (in fact, I think Orome is a child of some of the others). It's all very Germanic Mythology - Melko has a child with an ogress - and went away very quickly, but it's the same source as Ranuin, Danuin, and Fanuin, the Valar of months, days, and years.

(They tie the Sun and Moon to giant cables for Manwe to pull. BoLT is weird.)

EDIT: Oh, and a guess that HUI, which floated around on one of the Notion Club lists, might be a variant of FUI (aka Nienna), with the U being part of the name of some very famous type of ornamental plate.

Incanus: all elements correct. The US refers to 'here' because it's 'here' (in the United States) that what's known as a PLC company in the UK is called 'incorporated' and has INC after its name.

Ltd is the opposite. We have Ltd too.

A PLC is owned (or partially owned) by shareholders. It stands for Public Limited Company.

A limited company (LTD) doesn't have shareholders and is privately owned.

I think that's correct. I know virtually nothing about business. But I did once work for a company that was bought and taken over by another, bigger company, because the shareholders voted for that.

Not if your overexcited brain jumps to conclusions faster than you can say A Elbereth Gilthoniel.

So far I almost made Eomer out of Orome - then realized you need a place and a Maia, Lorien out of Olorin - then realized it's mostly in the wrong volume, Rauros out of Sauron - which has no reasonable explanation, Osgiliath simply because Osse, and Artano turned into Ontario. It's been a backwards progression from the more logical to the more ridiculous. And none of them have what I believe the empty inkwell is meant to add. But I have time.

There is a limited number of male Maiar with names that contain O.
So why is it so difficult to match them together?
