Rolling to new page:
ODOVACAR - A Proudfoot, vacant but cut short by one and a bit, is wealthy. URUNDIL - I hear you run before a herb, copper. 3. R - A beast beyond the circle? I'm uncertain it's inscribed. 4. N - Lend one ear to the shortest war, briefly and back, with a signet. ADAMANTA - Love lace and flatfish? Like a ring! MIRIEL - A peaceful station in a flipped garland is a jewel. ELFSTAN - Race a saint indefinitely for a green jewel. STEELSHEEN - A venerated elver - her, English? Heavy metal. GLINDUR - Gee, Eastwood's topped and tailed (duh, you hear me?), but he's dark and tough. LORD OF THE RINGS - A title worn. ELESSAR - He' not greater, but gifted. ARGELEB - Listen: a pirate girl be backwards around silver. MAGLOR - Between Béma and Glorfindel is gold. Okay, let's see... -Both clues have the straight clue at the end. -R consists of three elements, with one out of order from where it's clued. -N consists of two elements, plus one instruction relating to one element, and one relating to the word as a whole. -There are no Middle-earth words in the clues (well... maybe one), though one answer is in a Middle-earth language. hS |

All need to be people so they can say their names gleam?
I'd have the glittery moon talking, or the Remmirath boasting of her sparkly nets, but then I'm weird/an English Lit graduate/both/probably the same thing to a scientist.

4. Narwe (Ear+W), the whole meaning 'signet'.

No... is that a person? It could be one of the Cuivienen lot, but I don't think it is.
Also: no anagrams. Nope. You've interpreted 'beyond' correctly, though I'm not sure you meant to; and your interpretation of one of the elements is correct. hS |

Briefly means 'acronym', so AZ, and reversed it's Za....and Zamin is the only person which begins with ZA.

In which case it's Nazgul (Zan+Lug backwards).

'Nazgul' doesn't gleam, though.
Perhaps it's an opulent Numenorean king, with a name in Adunaic?

Sounds like one of the chieftains of the Dunedain?
… oh, a King of Arthedain, while they still had kings, and he ended up being king of the whole of Arnor, as the two other lines failed.

1. Renounce him in disarray.
2. She is endlessly angry, and backward. 3. A greeting around a broken ornamental plate, for her. 4. A cave within a meandering flower, for him. 5. Scattered sodium reveals him. 6. Reversed part of speech surrounds a way, for him 7. A befuddled Shakespearean king surrounds direction, for her. 8. A muddled youngster finds a way, for him. 9. A confused elver finds commotion, briefly, north-east. See her. 10. Silence. Muddled reasoning leads to him.

Yeah, Argeleb was one of a long line of Ar-s in Arthedain, but I couldn't have told you which.
Now, for your password... I like the look of these clues. One that jumps out at me is #9, which sounds like a name of the form ELE????NE. A logical guess would be ELESTIRNE, who I know you've been thinking around; I can't make 'stir' the beginning or acronym of anything, but I'm happy to assume it could be. #7... Shakespeare had many kings, but the one that leaps to mind (and I think the only one who's 'King' in the title of his play) is LEAR. I'm seeing the clue as indicating an anagram of his name around a direction... ELMAR the Numenorean is a possible, though M-as-direction is a stretch (Middle?). hS |

'Briefly' applied to north-east, actually, to produce NE.
ELESTIRNE: A confused elver finds commotion, briefly, north-east. See her. 10. Silence. Muddled reasoning leads to him. No to rest. You have the right king, though.

The ornamental plate could be a ROUNDEL, but no luck yet mixing it with greetings.

No. You're focusing on known synonyms/definitions too much, when you should also be mindful of less common synonyms/definitions waiting to trip you up.

I was about to say that there aren't any easier ones.
However, DEN within NILE could give ELENDIL, for the 'cave' one.

There's certainly some that look like they should be easier. #2, for example, and of course Urwen has already confirmed part of #7.
But 'looks easier' doesn't mean a lot when I haven't been able to come up with any answers for them. ^_^ hS |

Well, here is a hint: think on why I used Elestirne rather than Erendis.

I did think of that, but neither epesses, nicknames nor sobriquets fit as password.
Is ELENDIL wrong? My guess for the cave one?

MOTHERNAMES, perhaps?
I don't think Nuneth gave Erendis the name Elestirne, though.
