If ever such a tale was told in the South...' and then he breaks off to rudely ask Aragorn if he knew that his belt was the kind of thing that his father would be embarrassed to be seen in in Minas Tirith. Boromir was a clothes-snob, whereas Elrond believed that everyone should be equal. so, naturally, he was a tad upset...
