Thankee :-)
I love the First Age of Middle-earth; of all the ages in Tolkien's legendarium, I am most well-versed in the First.
While we're talking about Amon Rudh, why don't we discuss it some more? When and how was Amon Rudh destroyed?

Umm . . .
The dwelling at Amon Rûdh? Or the Hill itself?

Well, I would assume that the hill was destroyed at the flooding of Beleriand, and if not previously destroyed I suspect the building would have gone with it... so I'll guess:
At the time of and by the drowning of Beleriand. Sophia

For the when I was looking specifically for the War of Wrath, but yes, that was when Beleriand was destroyed and sent underwater.

I nearly forgot this thread...
How old were Elured and Elurin at the time of their capture from Doriath?

Six or seven, I think I read somewhere. I think it must have been here on the 'Downs though because I can't find anything in any of my books - if it is in a later volume of HoMe then it was definitely on the Downs. If not... well, I can't find it.

It was six that I was looking for, and I honestly can't remember where I drew the information from. *blush*
You may go Firefoot.

Well, that makes two of us.
Name two people who took the wound of a dart meant for another.

Aredhel took Eol's javelin for Maeglin and Beren took Celegorm's (or was it Caranthir's?) arrow meant for Luthien.

Thank you :)
How long did Gondolin take to come into existence (from conception to completion)?

Ulmo inspired (conception) Turgon to build Gondolin in F.A. 50 ; it was finished in F.A. 104...therefore 54 years.

You've got the first date correct...
But was it completed in F.A. 104?

When you can't think of a hard question...
try to word your easy question as obscurely as possible.
Who in the first age shared her nickname with both an elf and a woman in the third? Sorry I forgot about this thread for so long. Sophia

My guess would be Aredhel, whose title was White Lady. As for the Third Agers, I'm guessing Galadriel and Eowyn.

Neeeeeeyyeeeeext.....
We should do countdowns, as they do on the quiz rooms at torc, where if the questioner etc doesn't reply after 24 hours, a countdown starting at five starts, and numero uno gets the next question.

Good gracious me, I'm terribly sorry. Thanks Gil-Galad.
What was Hunthor's last act? (specifically)

Hunthor, Act III?
He saved Túrin, or he hit the waters of Teiglin?

Hahaha, yes saving Turin was what I had in mind, but I suppose splashing in Teiglin was his very last act.

Au contraire, my friend.
His last act before kicking the bucket was cursing himself for saving Túrin.
Enedwaith, name the order in which the people of the House of Finwë returned to Valinor (through death or otherwise).
