Sauron? He assaulted Minas Tirith, which was under Orodreth's care, and took Tol Sirion. He then became the lieutenant of Tol Sirion under Morgoth?

Ditch that last "i" and you've got it.
Or... well, I suppose you can have it anyway.

An extra "i"?
Ai, Eru nîn! A misspelling I have made!
Well, thanks, Herr phantom, for overlooking my mistake. Who brought up the father of the king of the Kings of Men?

I'm sorry.
Elros is not the father of that line, he was the first.

Then I suppose you are calling Earendil the father of the line?
Earendil was brought up by his mommy and daddy, Tuor and Idril.

Still not him, I'm afraid.
"[F]ather of the king of the Kings of Men" is a phrase in UT. It doesn't refer to Eärendil.

Looking for a phrase, eh? Bleh, I don't have my books.
But seeing as there is (or would appear to be) a limited number of candidates, I will venture one further guess... Annael of the Grey-Elves (not a complete guess though, for now that you mention UT I seem to remember a description of Tuor when in Turgon's hall or leaving it stating that he didn't know how great he looked, and it might have said something about looking the part of the father of the kings of men)

Nope, but not too far off. The page I'm looking at right now has both Manthor's name and the name I'm looking for on it.

Let me spring in late here and say, Asgorn?
[Edit:] the ever kindhearted phantom sent me a pm asking whether I meant "Asgon". I suspect I did.

Thank you I shall...
Amon Rudh resembled a bald head. That bald head occasionally appeared to have a strange ailment. What was that ailment, and what was its cause?

Amon Rudh was covered with seregon, a plant named for its blood-like appearance. It often appeared that this hill was covered with blood. This hill was made of stone, though seregon (meaning blood of stone in Quenya) was able to grow on it.
Is this what you were looking for?

Precisely
That's exactly what I was looking for. Sorry about the extremely strange wording, otherwise the question would have been too easy.
*steps to the side* the floor is yours.
