WARNING: TTT spoilers in this post...just be advised. I thought you deserved advanced warning. I'm skipping a few lines so you don't really see what I type if you don't want to...
... ... ... ... Eowyn: "Independent Women" by Destiny's Child when she's swinging that sword around. Eowyn (again): "Temptation" by Destiny's Child when she sees Aragorn. Legolas, Aragorn, and Gimli: "Faith" by...take your pick, so many people have done and redone it...when Eomer says, "Do not rely on hope, for it is forbidden in this land." Arwen: "Torn" by Natalie Imbruglia (what happened to her, by the way?) when Elrond is trying to get her to leave for Valinor. Gollum: "Papercut" by Linkin Park Aragorn/Arwen flashback: "Breath" by Faith Hill... I'll get more... [ December 26, 2002: Message edited by: VanimaEdhel ]

goody, goody! my turn?
For the Uruk-hai when theyre running thru the forest they could sing the Alvin and the Chipmunks song, but with different words: we are the uruk-hai! coming to kill you and all of your men! we are the uruk-hai! coming to get you but you dont know when! stupid eh!! And...hmm.... while Aragorn and Arwen are standing on that little bridge in Rivendell in FOTR, they could sing "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston cant think of anything else o ya in Weathertop Frodo and the Ringwraith king could sing "Wannabe" by Spice Girls or w/e its called..

I could see Sam at the end of Rotk, after a few years have passed just jumping up on a rock, puling out an acoustic guitar and start playing "Time of your life" by Greenday.
"When Im Gone" by 3 Doors Down sung by Aragorn to Arwen. [ January 08, 2003: Message edited by: Beren87 ] |

LoL, Beren, I love the "Time of Your Life" idea!
Okay, how about -"Down" by Fuel for Gollum? Really Sméagol to Gollum..."I know you want me to love you/All you ever do is bring me down/Won't you go away forever..." Of course, that last line clinched it for me. -"Last Time" also by Fuel for Frodo. I can't really point out any particular lyrics, the whole song really fits him as he relates to the Ring..."I'm not the first you sucked down," etc. He keeps promising himself that "this is the last time," as in the last time he uses the Ring. -If you change the pronouns around a little bit, the chorus of "Bad Day" by Fuel (I got "Something Like Human" for Christmas, so sue me) rather fits Sam and Frodo, as narrated by Sam. -In addition to "Hey, Ho, to the Bottle I Go" can you imagine "Closing Time" by Semisonic at the Green Dragon? ~*~Orual~*~

The Ring; One is the lonliest number. (I don't know who that's by)
Sauron and the Ring; Ain't no Mountain High Enough (Marvin Gaye and... Someone) The Nazgul on Weathertop; Thriller (complete with dance routine) (Michael Jackson) Sam and Frodo at the base of Mt. Doom; I Got You Babe (Sonny and Cher) Gollum; a slightly modified version of "Under the Bridge" (Sometimes I feel like I don't have a precious, sometimes I feel like my only friend is the Hobbit named Frodo, Frodo he loves me. Lonely as I am, together we cry) (Red Hot Chili Peppers) Frodo and Sam (again); What would Strider the Ranger do (from what would bryan boytano do) (Trey Parker and Matt Stone) Sam when Frodo's in Minas Morgul; A touching rendition of "On My Own" Merry; "Dude looks like a lady" about Dernhelm The Nazgul; Back in Black (AC/DC) The Council of Elrond; Do you Hear the People Sing? (It'll be a rousing number right before intermission) Aragorn; "Walk this Way" About Arwen. (Hey. I had to slip the Aerosmith reference in there somewhere. And the song's about older women too. ) I think that's plenty

"One is the lonliest number" is actually just called "One" and is by Three Dog Night.

I don't know if these have been said but:
How do you solve a problem like the One Ring? (Maria, from the Sound of Music) I also see Saruman standing on top of Orthanc singing "the Hills are Alive (with the sounds of music)" Or the hobbits singing, snubbing Bilbo for going on an adventure to the tune of "Oliver" from Oliver How about Arwen or Eowyn singing "Bring Him Home" from Les Miserables about Aragorn?
